    A:

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for MBA/PGDM Programs at SICSR Pune

Based on student reviews, here's an analysis of the effectiveness of the placement cell:

    * Placement Quality: Unfortunately, the placement quality has "been degraded badly" according to students. Many students reported receiving offers from non-preferred companies, and even those who got placed struggled due to poor company reputation (e.g., one company promising higher salary packages, but ultimately failed to deliver).
    * TPO Involvement: Some students felt that the TPO was more focused on providing internship opportunities rather than ensuring successful final placements, leading to concerns about the placement process.
    * Company Selection: Students mentioned that some of the companies invited for recruitment were of questionable repute, resulting in disappointment among students who didn't receive job offers.
    * Lack of Four-Wheeler Parking Facility: Although this may seem unrelated to placement cell efficiency, the lack of adequate parking space might pose logistical challenges during recruitments.

In summary, while the placement cell at SICSR Pune seems to face challenges in terms of placement quality, company selection, and logistics, it is essential for the institution to address these concerns to improve overall student satisfaction and employability outcomes.

Students here are from different places, but all are very nice.
Placements: From the 7th semester, students wre eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit, such as Amazon, Cisco, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, and others. For bio-related companies, Biocon and Reddy's Lab also visit. More than 40 companies visit in total. The highest salary package offered is 1.2 crore per annum, and the average salary package offered is 6 LPA - 8 LPA. The percentage of students getting placements is 40%. I am planning to start a business.
Infrastructure: Many fests are held every 2-3 months, along with workshops organised now and then. Many sessions on trending topics in the industry are also held every week or two. Library on campus is small, but we can find books on all subjects related to your course there. It is actually good. Classrooms are equipped with good technologies. Some extracurricular activities offered by the college include badminton, box cricket, chess, football, swimming, gym, Zumba, yoga, and more.
Faculty: For every 20 students, one staff member will be present, making the student-to-staff ratio 1:20. Faculty members are approachable and mostly friendly, except expect some. Faculty members are friendly, and students can ask him doubts about anything, they will answer or provide the solution the next day. For each semester, three CIAs will be conducted, and the best of two will be taken for internals.

The finest college of my life: SICSR.
Placements: The placements of our college are good. The last semester students are eligible for campus placements with top MNCs like TCS, Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, and HCL. The packages offered to us were so good with 18 LPA being the highest package and 9 LPA being the lowest package.
Infrastructure: The hostel of our college is very good. We have a huge hostel building with double sharing rooms having ample facilities. We have a good canteen facility with the food being good as well as healthy.
Faculty: The MBA course of our college is very good. We have additional courses with this subject as well. The teachers of our college are highly qualified with some of them being Ph.D. holders. Their methods of teaching are very interesting. We have exams every semester.

Absolutely satisfied with the placement and infrastructure of the college.
Placements: In our course, almost 60% of the students get placed. The highest package was 8 lacs, the lowest package was 4 lacs, and the average package was 6 lacs. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Mahindra, Kotak, etc. In our college, almost 80% students get internship in companies like Mahindra with roles like data analytics, etc.
Infrastructure: Overall, there is good infrastructure and a good environment for the students. Our campus classrooms were spacious and well maintained. The library was also fully stocked with books and the computer labs were also equipped with good-quality computers. The hostel mess food quality was good to eat. Sports and medical facilities were also available.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality was also good because it made things easier to understand. The course curriculum was relevant and it definitely prepared students for this industry. Semester exams were easy to get pass and the passing percentage was 90%.

SICSR is the best university of my life.
Placements: The placement provided by our university is excellent. In our university, final-year students are eligible for campus placement, and our university has invited many big MNCs such as TCS, Amazon, Flipkart, and Reliance. These companies offer good placements, some up to 18 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The hostel at our college is excellent, offering good facilities. The rooms in our hostel are well-designed, with attached bathrooms. Two students share each room, which is equipped with all the necessary facilities for comfortable living.
Faculty: The course curriculum at our college is impressive. I chose the MBA course for its potential impact on my career. The teaching faculty is highly qualified, with some holding Ph.D. degrees. The language of instruction is well-received by all students. Exams are conducted every semester, approximately every 5 to 6 months.

I love technology because it's the triumph of the human intellect.
Placements: We are eligible from the 5th trimester to apply for placements. We can also get offers by performing well in our summer internships and bagging pre-placement offers (PPO). Over 600 offers were made for 550 students. Examples of companies: Google, Amex, Samsung, Microsoft, Pepsi, IBM, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, etc. The average package is INR 26 LPA; the highest package is INR 70 LPA. 100% placements are offered.
Infrastructure: I stay at Symbiosis Vishwabhavan (Boys Hostel), which is at a different Symbiosis campus from my college. The approximate distance between the college and the hostel is 1.5 km. The infrastructure of the hostel is good, and it's a beautiful campus. The room provided is on a sharing basis: 3 in one room or 2 as per your choice (feels may vary). Hostel Fee: INR 150000 per year.
Faculty: I took the flagship MBA from NMIMS Mumbai as it was in sync with my previous work experience. It was my desire to upskill my learning from my time as a professional with theoretical business concepts. The faculty-to-student ratio is usually 1:30, with well-lit and big classrooms with audiovisual teaching available. Faculty members were industry professionals who had achieved accolades in their particular field of work. Also, the majority of them had PhDs and were very competent. The teaching method was completely case-based and dependent on the discussion in a class by students, in which the teacher nudges us towards an interesting viewpoint. Exams like quizzes could be once a week, and they required regular study. Midterms were three weeks after the start of the trimester, and there were final exams at the end of the trimester. Exams, as such, were sometimes case-based or theory-based. The difficulty was quite moderate. Class Size: 60 Course Fee: INR 507000 per year.

The college offers a good course curriculum, and there is a lot to learn. Placements are the worst.
Placements: Maximum of the students were placed, but not in a good company. The placement quality has been degraded badly. The TPO was behind just providing students with internships and not actually bothered about final placements. One of the companies invited by the college was the worst company to work with, and almost 14 people were recruited, but no one was offered a job as the company was not capable of providing the CTC promised.
Infrastructure: The college is sufficient enough. The canteen and library are good. There is a scarcity of classrooms, because of which second-year MBA classes are conducted in the afternoon. The projector is equipped in every classroom. There is no four wheeler parking facility. Two wheeler parking gets packed when all have classes at the same time.
Faculty: External faculty members are the best. Specialisation courses should be updated. Internal faculty members should be student-friendly rather than just misbehaving with students. Three specialisations are available here, namely software process management, business financial management and DWBI.
Other: The college conducts picnic, annual event, and sports event.
