Best college and good facilities are available.

Placements: More than 60 percent of students were placed. The recruiters, Wipro, TCS, and Deloitte, have a good salary package of 14.5 lakh per annum and the lowest salary package of 3 lakh per annum. 10 percent of students were placed. The top roles offered are medical social worker, health care jobs, etc.

Best college and good facilities.

Placements: Placements are good at all; more than 90 percent of students were placed in our college university. More than 60 companies visit our college, with the highest package of 18 lacs per annum and the lowest package of 6 lacs per annum. More than 15 percent of students got internships in other sectors.

Satisfied with the placements and career ahead.

Placements: Great internship opportunities, with around 80–90% of the students getting it in reputed organizations like PATH, NIMHANS UNICEF, etc. The placement rate is decent, with around 75% of the students getting offers from top agencies like Oxfam, WHO, UNDP, etc.

The teachers are helpful in nature.

Placements: The average package will be around INR 7 lakh in 2023. The highest package is around INR 20 LPA in 2023. Top recruiting companies are Tata Trust, UNICEF, UNDP, World Bank, Oxfam, CRY, Pratham, etc. The role is offered to students such as social workers, development professionals, Public policy analysts, etc.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the administration but we have good classmates.

Placements: We do not have placement cell for BA programs. Only Masters students are eligible. There are better placement opportunities in TISS Mumbai. I have heard this from my seniors. Although, in Guwahati campus the placement opportunities are not bad at all.

Review of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Guwahati (TISS, Guwahati).

Placements: Placements for our batch, i.e., 2014-16, were good. Almost 70% of students were placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 60,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. Companies like HCL Foundation, Tata Trusts, etc., visited the campus for placements. Roles of project coordinator, programme manager, etc., were offered.

It is the best social science institute in India.

Placements: Around 75% of the students who applied for placements got placed with the highest salary package of 6.5 LPA. The top recruiter for our college is Tata Trusts. A huge range of roles are provided by this course, and they are policy-making, think tanks, NGOs, fellowship, CSR and grassroots organisations. Every student gets an internship in organisations including corporates like Godrej, HCL, CEAT, ActionAid, IGSSS, NRL, Oxfam and Kudumbashree.
