Our college provided good placements and faculty members in the year 2017.

Placements: Placements in our college were great during our course duration. Almost 85% of the students got placement in various companies like Tata, L&T, Sigma and other companies for our mechanical engineering department. Placements were also good in civil engineering and electrical engineering department.

Infrastructure: The main building of the college was huge. The infrastructure of labs of mechanical engineering was great. Classrooms were non-air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi facility was provided for faculty members only. A huge playground and a basketball court were available. In the library, various technical and non-technical books were provided. The food served in the canteen was good, and was at a low price. Hostel facilities were also available, but various restrictions were there on the hostel students. Even the food served was not much good.

Faculty: Faculty members of the mechanical engineering and basic science department were awesome. I don't have much idea about faculty members of other departments. I have heard from our friends that they are also good and well educated as well as knowledgeable. Lab instructor was also well knowledgeable and helpful.

Other: I chose mechanical engineering course because during that time, the value of mechanical engineering was at the top. But these days there are very few jobs available in mechanical engineering. To reach the college you have to take auto-rickshaw from Hooghly Railway Station, the fair of the auto-rickshaw is about 10 rupees. Students and faculty members organise a cultural fest once a year. On this day teachers become friends of students.

Very good labs and workshops for technical learning are available here.

Placements: Most of our college placements were wonderful. More than 80% of students from each course were placed each year based on their eligibility. The highest package received was around 3.5 LPA and the average package was nearly 2.4 LPA. Our college has tie-ups with many top recruiters, like Tata Steel, Mahindra, L&T, IBM and others. Internships were very important for the students to understand the basics of a job, and our institution gives importance to this. Most of the students got their internships this year.

Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure was very advanced and helpful for the students. There were modern and specialized labs available for different subjects; most of the labs were very good and well maintained. Workshops were well-equipped. Most of the premises and classrooms were clean and under CCTV control. Modern classrooms with projectors were also available. There was a big library inside the campus with more than 10,000 books and journals. The hostel facilities were very good, and the and the authorities were attentive. The food quality in the canteen was tasty and the price was not so high. A variety of items were present. Sports facilities and equipment are available. Emergency medical services and equipment were available.

Faculty: Our faculty members were very good and helpful. Most of them were highly educated and knowledgeable. Our teachers were well-educated and qualified. Their teaching was easy to understand. They were very supportive and helpful by nature. Our course curriculum is relevant in all settings, and it makes the students ready for the industry. Our semester exams were not so easy; the average passing percentage was nearly 60%. We had to study well for better marks.

Other: I have chosen this course because it provides a great opportunity for my future goals. Annual programmes like cultural events, sports, and fests were organized by our college. The campus crowd was good and well connected. Scholarships available.

Our college has tie-ups with Jindal stainless, Tata motors, Mahindra and others. Our college provides internship opportunities to nearly 80% students.

Infrastructure: Our college has good and fast growing infrastructure. We have a Wi-Fi connection across the campus. The labs are clean and tidy with good equipments. We have good classrooms with enough space to accommodate 70 students. We have a good canteen, a big ground along with a big library.

Faculty: Our college is very concerned about the study experience, so they take extra care while hiring the teachers and providing other facilities. All the teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They all have good teaching quality. Our course curriculum is well modified and makes us ready for the industries. Our college’s semester exams are easy with a passing percentage of 50%.
