The college has good placements, average infrastructure, and good faculty.

Placements: Placements in the college are good. Placements for our batch are good, compared to our senior batch. Companies like IBM, Cisco, HP, BOSCH, Mercedes, Continental, L&T, Delloite, Nokia, Dell, TVS, McKinsey, Shell IT, etc., visit the campus for placements. There is a good interaction between students and the placement officer.

The National Institute of Engineering is very old and reputed institution.

Placements: Placements are pretty good for IT branches. Only a few companies visited the college to recruit the students of core branches. Many students related to core branch are working for IT companies. A few years back, the placements were a bit good for core branches; now, the mass recruiting companies are only recruiting the students of non-core branches.

The college is worth the money.

Placements: The placements of our college are average, but the placements for the mechanical engineering department are not up to the mark. The placements for the computer science engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering are good. The placements are good for civil engineering as the faculty members are experienced and good.

Nothing to say about our college, and good luck to all.

Placements: Placements in our college are okay as normal as other colleges. They provide quality education to students. For mechanical, the placements are average, and the student's strength is high when compared to other branches. A few core companies visit the campus for placements. Every year, placement training classes are going on in our college.

Really satisfied with the faculty members and infrastructure.

Placements: Core companies placements have reduced, but mass recruitment will be more. Good training is available for placements with a separate block for that. The college is tied up with many companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Eicher, etc. Placement training programmes are held monthly.

Being a mechanical engineer, I am not satisfied with the placement statistics.

Placements: It has an excellent and fully functional ISO 9001:2008 certified training and placement division. The training and placement department has adequate infrastructure providing facilities for group discussion etc. The placement cell maintains a database of all registered students and all their relevant details. The lowest package offered for mechanical is Rs. 3 LPA and the highest is Rs. 8 LPA.

A very good college in Karnataka in choose especially for mechanical engineering.

Placements: Placements are really good here, core companies like Mercedes, vedant, bosh, TVS recruit the student and you will also get good It offers. The highest package for mech will be AIMS 8.5lpa and least being around 3lpa and for CS it will be even more and getting Internships is left to students, they have to get selected for the internship by their own.

Better when compared to most of the colleges around the city.

Placements: You'll get good amount mass and IT companies but you have to really work hard and should have the top luck to get into core companies. The placement policy of the college is weird too. You get placed in any company which is not mass and they won't allow you to attend core companies that visit the college later.

The infrastructure is not up to the mark, but the faculty and curriculum are good.

Placements: The college is doing its best so that every student get placed. The placements were average for our seniors, but for our batch, they are good. The placement officer is working good, and each department has a faculty coordinator to ensure good placements. I can give the rating of 3.5 out of 5.

It is the best engineering college in Mysore.

Placements: All IT major companies come to this college every year for campus placements. 600 students got placed while studying 8th semester. TCS and Accenture did the bulk recruitment. The internship is offered by the college during seventh and eight semesters. The students can do their internships for about 30 days. There is a placement cell in NIE College dedicated towards placements. It is very useful as it offers various skill development and aptitude courses for students.

Civil engineering undergraduate course at NIE, Mysuru.

Placements: The college itself arranged an internship programme during our tenure. Which was a very good step as civil engineering is all about practical Knowledge. Our placements were hit very badly by the market situation. So only 2 core companies visited the college ie. , L&T and Atkins. The L&T offered an annual CTC of 5.5LPA and Atkins of 4.5LPA. Apart from core some mass companies visited are TCS and Accenture, Offering a CTC of 3.25lpa. So overall, out of a class of 75 only about 18 got placed (both ...

This is the decent college to join.

Placements: The placements of mechanical branch vary largely from batch to batch since market of mechanical industries are highly fluctuating because of the rapidly changing government laws, GST, ban on diesel engines, etc. Overall, the placements were good for us and our seniors batch. Point to be noted is that the majority of them are placed in IT firms, which is not bad since they have a good future and vast exposure to core companies in future, high package, and stable growth of IT.

College is very good and students get to learn a lot.

Placements: The placements were good. There are about 180 students in mechanical, and hardly 40 to 50 of them get placed. The lowest salary offered was around 3.5 lacs per annum. The core companies like Mercedes Benz, Vedanta, TVS, Toyota, Eicher and other companies are Intel, Deloit, Amazon, Oracle, TCS, Accenture. Very few with good CGPA gets the internship from the college. The placement cell is very supportive, and they try hard to get maximum students to get placed.

For E&C, NIE, is an average college.

Placements: The recruitment companies are coming in good numbers with good packages. For electronic and communication the placement is quite good. I just need to have some coding knowledge. Till now, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the highest is 28 LPA. Even for the internship also standard companies will come like HP, Texas instruments etc.

Best college for mechanical branch but not for the placements.

Placements: Good placements were offered for CSE and EC students. There is not much importance given to the core companies placements. You may expect some top companies like Benz, but they only recruit some 5-8 people. If you have any ideas for the further studies, then this is a good one for you.

A good college with poor infrastructure.

Placements: There are good placements in the college. This year Mercedes Benz was the main attraction. For most of the companies, 7 is the cut off CGPA to attend the interview. There is also a high competition for the core companies, especially in the mechanical branch. Nearly 60% of the students were placed in the college. The computer science students were easily placed because 60% of the companies visited were of the IT branch. This year the highest package was about Rs. 28 lacks per annum. Apart from th...

Placement and environment wise good, but infrastructure wise and sports curriculum is not good.

Placements: The placements offered are better than all the branches which offer average. For the computer science the average package offered is around 6 lakhs per annum, and for the mechanical, it's around 4.2 lakhs per annum and same is for electronics. The highest package offered for the last year was 22.5 lakhs per annum while the minimum was offered 3.2 lakhs per annum. Around 84 percent of the students got placed. And everyone gets an internship in good companies. ...

Good placement, faculty, and infrastructure.

Placements: Good companies visit every year, and almost more than 60-70% students get placed. Many dream companies also visit our college. A boy from our college has been placed for the package of 28 lpa. The average package is 4 lpa, and the lowest package is 3 lpa. Around 80 companies visit our college every year.

NIE- Mysuru is the one of the best colleges from where one can pursue their graduation in BE.

Placements: The placement drive has improved a lot more this year than the previous years. New companies in addition to the regular companies are visiting NIE to hire graduates. Few companies had come in search of candidates for core ECE jobs too. About 50% of the students from CS, IS, ECE have got placed. The companies like Cisco, SAP Labs, HP, Amazon, VMware, Mercedes Benz and a lot more have visited NIE. The highest package offered was Rs. 18 lakhs per annum by McKenzie digital labs.

Satisfied because of good education system and facilities but not satisfied regarding placements.

Placements: The placements are good and they provide training for the students, which helped us a lot in getting placed. The placement officer is fully supportive to the students. My suggestion is to increase the number of companies for mechanical and civil engineering, because for them, the companies were less as compared to other branches.
