I am satisfied with placements in 2017. It has a very good infrastructure, facilities and sports.
Placements: I was passed out from 2017 batch. More than 40% of students got placed in our batch. The jobs offered were for different locations like Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, etc. The roles offered were as a hardware design engineer, support and operations engineer, technical operations, etc. The salary packages offered varies from 1.5 LPA to 3 LPA. The internship was also offered in some management companies.
Infrastructure: Labs in our college are made with State-of-Art technology. We had a digital auditorium. The library of our college was with more than one lac books. A digital library was also available. The food served in the hostel was average, but inside the college, there was a huge mess which served different bakery items, a variety of rice and the food tasted good. Sports were also executed as part of the curriculum. Games and traditional functions, special events, technical exhibition were also arranged every year.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were highly qualified and friendly with students enabling the freedom to question and learn new things without any hassle. The course curriculum was relevant. Students were made industry-ready with special classes for English and communication skills during the final year. There were no additional fees like building fee and for special events.
Other: I opted for the course because I like power systems. The practical knowledge was very good, and with the friendly nature of teachers, I was able to learn in a good place. The placements could have been better with more companies invited. Events, fest and farewell functions were conducted by the management every year without any additional fees from students. This was the best thing about our college. Study tours were also conducted. We visited VTPS, Nagarjuna Sagar Hydel Plant during our last 2 years of the course.
