UIET Review from B. Tech graduate student of 2019 - 23 batch.

Placements: The placement of quiet MDU was not as good as previous batches. In the 2019-2023 batch, there were about 120 B.Tech CSE students, but only 20-30 students got placed. This might have been due to the pandemic. The highest package for my batch was 12 lakhs, and the lowest was around 2-3 lakhs.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is well developed. The faculty are knowledgeable and helpful. The campus has free high-speed Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, and a large library.

Faculty: The exams are done frequently, like mid-semester and final semester. The difficulty level is not that high, but sometimes the paper is set at the highest difficulty level of the last 10 years. The teachers are very cooperative and help the students clear their doubts in extra classes. However, the curriculum was becoming outdated when I was there.

The college review for placements.

Placements: Almost every student is placed who does not have any backlog in any year or has cleared their backlogs. The average package is 5 LPA, with top companies like Trident and TCS recruiting from our college. The highest package is 18 LPA, and it can go even higher depending on the student. Overall, the placement situation is good.

Infrastructure: The hostel is excellent, and the food is also good. We have a gym, and many games are played in the hostel, such as cricket, football, and volleyball, which adds a lot of fun. Numerous functions take place in the hostel, making hostel life enjoyable. Everyone is friendly in the hostel.

Faculty: The faculty is good and very supportive. They help students grow and learn new things that will benefit them in the future. The alumni network is strong, which aids in placements. The exams are of medium difficulty; if you study for a week, you can easily pass.

Other: There are many events and fun activities throughout the year.

Personal experience in this college.

Placements: Placement is not good here. Around 60% of students get placed and only 40 to 50% are placed on campus so it is quite disappointing. A few good companies visit here like TCS, Infosys etc. Which also provides internships. The average package is 2.5 -3 LPA. Most of the students go for the higher studies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good here. There are so many laboratories available per subject requirement. Wi-Fi is only available on campus and library not in the classrooms. To be honest Hostel facility is not very good. The campus of the college is very updated with all the buildings renovated. There are different departments and laboratories for students which have different equipment which are new and well maintained.

Faculty: The academic is good, not excellent. They provide you with well-educated professors. Teachers are helpful. The only thing which I don't like about the academic is course completion time. The curriculum is duly updated. Teachers are very helpful to the students but our semester exams are moderately tough. The passing percentage of our college is 70%.

Overall, the college is okay to take admission.

Placements: In computer science, B.Tech 160 students are there in my batch. I'm not aware of packages offered, but I think it is okay, not good. Top roles offered are software engineers and developers. About 2 percent of students got internships from product-based companies. One got an internship in 1st year from Google. Recruiting companies are Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Polester, TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, etc.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure, of course, and hostels are okay. Wi-Fi is available in labs, libraries, and hostels also. A huge library is here named Vivekanand Library, and a reading hall has Wi-Fi and an AC facility that is open 24 hours a day. A sports complex where you can run and play any game (football, badminton, etc.). Food in the hostel is okay, not the best. Dessets in dinner in 3 days a week. If someone is not feeling well at night, then there is another 24-hour ambulance facility that takes people to PGI. Gym machines in hostels are available.

Faculty: Faculty are okay. They help students when they ask for it; otherwise, they teach and go. Yes, they are qualified and knowledgeable. If I talk about teaching quality, then it is okay. Of course, a course is not a curriculum; it is not relevant; it does not make the students industry-ready. He has to make efforts on their own. Learn skills on their own by purchasing a course or with YouTube. Even nobody will tell you anything. Here in the 3rd year, I got to know exciting opportunities that are only eligible for 1st year students, which I couldn't do. Semester exams are easy. Studying before a night is enough to get a pass. 30 is the passing mark in theoretical subjects.

Other: I chose the computer science course. I want someone, may be teachers or seniors, to be aware their juniors. I regret that I couldn't apply for those exciting opportunities. Events used to be organized day by day: many orientation, cultural festivals, etc. Campus is good. Scholarships are given to toppers of the year and lower categories students.

College placement is very good.

Placements: There are many companies that will come to the college to place students. In the first year, the student will study the basics and in the second year, they will study the technical subjects. When the student is in the fourth year, he will get a placement. Some students are not satisfied with the placement offered by the company on campus. These students can get off-campus placement. If a student gets 85 percent, he will get an average package.

Infrastructure: Many programs are organized on campus. All departments have organized induction programs for new students. A university festival called Unifest is organized every year. The largest library in Haryana is Vivekananda Library, which is at Maharshi Dayanand University. This is the central library for the entire university and has libraries in all departments. The campus also has sports fields, a running MAT basketball field, a football ground and a cricket field.

Faculty: I want to be an engineer in my life. So I chose this side. And I want to study single and radio systems, so I chose civil engineering. There are many students in each branch of B.Tech., with a 50-50 ratio of boys and girls. All teachers try their best in their teaching. All departments have different teaching methods. I have a 4-year course with 8 semesters. The college conducts two sessional examinations and one final examination in a semester.
