It is one of the best engineering colleges in India. Environment of the college is good. Entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled with a very good speed up to 5 Mbps. It provides one of the best faculties with ample experience and that too in such reasonable fees. Where every college is demanding 4-5 lacs for an MBA course, UIET costs just around 2, 00,000. Equipment’s in the labs are updated and complete in all senses (Especially the workshop for final project). One problem that I found in the college is ...
The good: well infrastructure, faculty, location, ranking, curriculum and good will wise, this is a good college. This college is like a family where we get to learn a lot of things. Most of the teachers genuinely care about their students' development. The bad: placements of some branches are not as good as other branches. But overall it is an average college.
Institute has good infrastructure as well as good facilities in technical aspects and a healthy studying ambiance. Faculty members are also hired from good technical background with great teaching experience. "Goonj and aavishkar" fests of institution attracts huge crowd for exposure to world. Talking about placements hub of companies come for recruitments. Training and placements cell is entirely students driven. Overall, one of the best colleges in North India.
My college was not up to the mark as per the faculties, study material provided and placements. Being an electrical and electronics engineer, no proper machinery lab facilities were provided. But, as my college was under Panjab University, a university which changed the meaning of campus life, was amazing. It constituted one of the best infrastructures, constituting sports and fitness facilities such as football ground, basketball court, badminton court, swimming pool (both indoor and outdoor), ...
This is a government college, it is maintained by Burdwan University which is a prestigious university in West Bengal. The infrastructure is good, it has four hostels, one solely for first year boys to avoid the menace of ragging, two hostels for the seniors and one girl's hostel. Coming to the education quality, it is very good, especially for CS, ECE & IT streams. The faculty is very good, many of them are Ph.D. holders in their respective subjects. The labs of the respective streams are well...
My college falls under a very prestige university, Panjab University in Chandigarh. It is a government institution and is very recognized. The Faculty members were all very helpful and very learned. They had a vast experience and extensive knowledge of their subject. The practical knowledge was also gained with the laboratory work and not to forget the library rules and the atmosphere was so in favour of the learning. It feels great to associate myself with such an institution.
UIET is the Engineering Department of Punjab University. It lies in the heart of Chandigarh and thus provides tremendous exposure. As for faculty members, they are no different than any other faculty members from some other Government College. They are all well qualified. But as usual their behaviour is what you'd expect from any other. Some of them are really good nonetheless. We have many committees. Anything and everything from Entrepreneur Development Cell to Arts and Theatrics Group. But w...
UIET is a good college but I think it needs some work in the areas of infrastructure. Otherwise it’s great. Also, one more thing is that the faculty needs to be a little more experienced and the teaching should be more based upon practical knowledge rather than just mugging up books just for the sake of it.
It is one of the best universities in India with great faculty and infrastructure. The placements are very good. It is in Chandigarh, the city beautiful, hence added benefit to live in the cleanest city in India. The university has excellent campus facilities. The only problem is that the conditions of hostel is not that good.
It is a good college. It is keeping up the pace to bring more placements every year. This college has everything u need and more buildings are being setup every year. It stands right at the heart of the beautiful city (Chandigarh) and near the Punjab University where you get a damn good view and everything you need is just half a mile away. Recommended.
Taking admission in this college (University Institute of Engineering and Technology) was a good decision, however placements for Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering were not so good, it would be better to go for IT or Computer Science (from placements point of view). Moreover location is very good, a great campus life and it's in a city which has got the tag (The city beautiful).
UIET is one of the good colleges in India for engineering courses, good infrastructure, very good and intelligent faculty members, good competition among students, many extra-curricular activities, and many societies to take part in. In a nutshell, if one have a good AIEEE rank, one should think about this college.
Uiet, Panjab University is the best engineering collage in Chandigarh region. Campus of Panjab University is the best. You get to live with the students of every department of the university and it was the best experience of my life. If you work hard you can get placed. CSE and IT departments are the best in terms of placements and Bio-Technology is the best in terms of lab equipments. Teachers are average and don't have much knowledge about the curriculum and they follow the stereotypes and giv...
The college is good. Faculty members are highly educated. Fee structure is affordable. Average placements. The crowd and campus life is really good. Infrastructure, as it is a government college, is average. There are various kinds of events and extracurricular activities being organised at the college. In short, a decent college.
Great intellectual and maturity level of the students. Students are relatively professional and motivated as compared to the students of other engineering. colleges. Being in Chandigarh, it provides the culture where a lot can be learnt from the environment. Facility of the labs and infrastructure is good, if not great and can offer you good learning platform. I believe it is upto the students as well to make the most of the college and it's facilities. All can't be relied on faculty and college...
UIET is located in the heart of holy city Kurukshetra. Being a campus college of Kurukshetra University, it enjoys all the facilities provided by university. The overall standard of college is good. The most favourable part is it enjoys the close proximity to NIT Kurukshetra. It is among a few good government colleges in Haryana. Computer Science branch of the college has complete facilities in terms of books, labs, seminar halls and the open hall to discuss about various programming lectures. T...
It’s a good college but at some points it needs improvements. Its infrastructure is good enough. Working environment is also good. Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. We have to work out in the placement direction. It’s affiliated by an 'A' Grade University and it is in top colleges in Haryana.
Computer Science Department and Electrical Engineering Departments are very good. Electronics and Communication Engineering Department is not at par. As a part of Panjab University, it has got a great campus life. As far as research work is concerned, it does not have great research facilities. But if a student is research oriented, he will get full support from the college.
Placements: The CSE and IT departments have a good placement ratio. The average salary package offered in the IT course is 9 LPA. Many IT companies visit our college. Companies like Amazon, Samsung, Wipro, Infosys, etc., visit our college. The highest salary package offered is 45 LPA. About 80% of students got internships.
