I would recommend joining this college for curriculum, practical classes, and new experiences.

Faculty: Teachers were awesome and very helpful, and there is no drawback in faculty members, curriculum, and exams. Everything is perfect. For exams, we are practically learning, and we just need to write them. It is not at all difficult.

Overall, it's a very good college.

Faculty: The teachers are highly skilled and qualified. Even some teachers have sea-going experiences. They are highly knowledgeable and experienced. The course curriculum is very relevant. The college helps us prepare ourselves for the industry. Semester exams are not that difficult.

The college is good in every aspect.

Faculty: All the faculty members are excellent, and there are the most experienced chief engineers from most companies. Students can work in industries and prepare well. The exams are not difficult if you study well, and the pass percentage is 40%.

It is a good college in India.

Faculty: Courses are taught by very well experienced faculty members, chief engineers and another kind of deck officers. We study different subjects throughout our tenure. Moreover, everything is taught very well to all of us. They take us to port visits.

I will say that our college is good if we will talk about the teaching and infrastructure but is not

Faculty: Our college teachers are very good in teaching. They are working very hard to give us quality education. And all the teachers are very knowledgeable and able to solve our any doubt. The ship in campus is having all the equipment which will help us to make us industry ready.

Recommending this college at the rate of 80% for day scholars and 65% for hostellers.

Faculty: Though there are flaws in management facilities, the teachers are skilful and helpful. Around 90 percent of them are like angels. However, facing the rest of 10 percent will give you a nightmare. The teachers will be there to help you with your needs, and you can't even think about the flaws in them just like I do now. There will be mentors for you every year and guide you throughout your course and will be there to deal with your issues.

Dissatisfied with the ability of this college of securing a cadet future.

Faculty: The teachers here know their subjects with remarkably good ones. There is no compromise with studies and discipline which is eventually made to make oneself used to the onboard life. Each year, we have heats, inter-college debates, quizzes. The students here are facilitated numerous ship visits every year for better practical knowledge and experience.

There are no disappointment in anything. If you can study well you will achieve your placement.

Faculty: All the faculty members are well trained for the electrical and electronics subjects rather than all are the chief engineers and captains. So they teach nicely and explain what we have to do on the ship, how to use anything and how to enrol in engine department.

Truth of School of Maritime Studies, VELS University

Faculty: The faculty is nice as compared to other colleges. The course-coordinator are all chief engineers and master mariner(Captains). Teaching is good and the lab facilities are quite good. Cheapest BE Marine fee structure in all of India amongst private colleges. Tie-up with Glasgow University, Scotland for HND course. Other courses are BSC Nautical science, DME, and GME.

It is the best college for DME students.

Faculty: Each teacher was helping me to find the best college in this section. My passing percentage was 80% which was quite good. Exams were not difficult.
