VNIT is a place where you can build yourself.

Placements: Placements in VNIT are good. The highest placements are provided for computer science students. Around 70 out of 95 students get placed from CSE branch. Placements for the mechanical branch are good in which almost 65-68 students get placed. The average salary package offered would be around 7-8 LPA. Overall, the placements are good. A total of 400-450 students get placed every year. Getting internships from college is a little difficult task, two or three students from each branch get internshi...

A review of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) ,Nagpur.

The number of placements in the core sector is to be increased.

Placements: Around 70% of the students got placed. Only one company offered a dream job in the core field. Companies like HUL, Reliance, Godrej, Tata Consulting Engineers, Lupin, UPL, etc., have visited our college to offer placements. Packages offered by the companies are good. The average package offered was 4 LPA. The college needs to bring more and reputed companies to offer placements.

You can get to know the placement statistics by visiting the official website of the institute, i.e., http://tnp.vnit.ac.in. Overall, the placements are satisfactory, and almost every student gets placed.

There is really a good environment to learn new things.

Placements: Core placement opportunities are as good as the non-core placement opportunities. Students get placed in companies like Fidelity, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley with a package of more than 20 LPA. 3rd-year students were offered internships with an average stipend of Rs. 30,000 per month. Around 90% of the students get placed in the computer science department.

Great campus. Outdated curriculum. Decent placement opportunities. Infrastructure limiting to women.

Placements: The placements for core jobs is poor. IT jobs are plenty in nature. The placement process is transparent. Nearly 60 percent is placed. There is no proper orientation for placements. The companies sought are fewer. Mostly students work towards placement process there could be specific employees hired for conducting placements.

The college experience is great. The faculty is helpful and the campus is an amazing place to stay.

Placements: During my batch the placements were good. Though I don't have the exact numbers but almost all students who were SAT for the placements got placed. The lowest package would be around 4 lacs CTC and the highest was around 20 lacs. In our senior batch they had similar placements but one student had got a $120k placement from epic systems USA.

Good infrastructure with a beautiful green campus and motivating faculty.

Placements: VNIT is one of the best NITs present in India. Placement scenario is satisfactory. Computer Science abd Electronics Placements are good. The core branches Civil and Mechanical Placements find a little bit difficulty and lasts longer. But placements are around 90% for these departments. People also choose to go for Post Graduation where the VNIT has good reputation due to notable alumni.

Dissatisfied with the college because of my negligence.

Placements: I don't have any information regarding the placements, but I am sure to sit for placements as we need to have a minimum pointer of above 7.5-grade points average. The average salary package for core placements as I know is around 6 to 8 LPA, and it's higher for coding placements.

Excellent college in each and every fields.

Placements: Placements are very good for the civil engineering students. Lots of scope is there. Many companies used to recruit students. Companies are both core and non core. Mainly companies Black N Veatch, L&T, Nagpur metro, Afcons, Pedilite etc. For core companies average salary is 3-4 Lacs. Placements are quite good than the other NITs. Internships offers are also there.

Everything is good except for placements.

Placements: The placements of the college in some branches like CSE, ECE and EEE are hood. But, not in others. Around 40 people of 80 are placed from a batch. The salaries offered are around 6-7 lacs per annum on an average. For Civil Engineering, companies like LNT, visit the campus. The internship opportunities are really bad. Only 1 or 2 people get an internship from the whole batch. There is a placement cell, but it's not that useful.

Satisfied with the overall experience in the college, faculty members are good.

Placements: Placements are good, average package for branches like computer Science and electronics is good. But, for civil, it's a bit less. That's the scene for civil anywhere in India, so not a problem. The process is fair and transparent. If one is willing to go for non technical jobs, there are a lot of opportunities for students.

Placements: Placements are not that good. For students who don't have pointers above 7, it's difficult to get placed. Even the training and placement department is not so good towards the students. The highest salary offered is 26 Lacs per annum. The lowest is 3-4 Lacs per annum.

Placements: There are good software placements, especially for B.Tech of any department. The placement process is started at the end of the 6th semester or the start of the 7th semester. There are limited placements for M.Tech, but some good core companies visit the campus like L&T.

Good faculty. Strict curriculum. The placements are not high for M.Tech.

Placements: M.Tech placements are not so good as B.Tech here. Most of the companies allow only B.Tech students to sit in interview rounds. Compared to other NITS, the placements are somewhat better. The faculty part is best. Teachers try their level best to share their knowledge, and it's up to us to adapt and grasp those things.

I am satisfied by faculty, facilities, exposure, decent placements in 2015 and good infrastructure.

Placements: Our college has a placement cell, which has department representatives working along with the placement coordinator. Two companies visited here for internships for the chemical engineering department for 2015 batch. Godrej is one of them, but they are improved greatly. For final placements, about 70% of the batch got placed in core and non-core jobs in companies like Fractal, Pidilite, Reliance Industries Ltd, JSW, Thyssenkrupp, etc. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA.
