Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Review of Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Sanstha.
Placements: Around 40-50% of students get placed in the CSE department. The highest salary package offered to a single student is 16 LPA. Approximately the average salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, HCL, Darwinbox, Sahaj Software, Mahindra, etc. Almost 100% of students received internships. Roles offered are assistant or associate software developer, assistant executive engineer, junior system engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. All facilities are available including parking space, Wi-Fi, labs with computers and other instruments, clean classrooms with digital boards, and a library with a great collection of books. I didn't opt for a hostel facility, but the quality of the canteen food is fine.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and highly qualified. They have a vast knowledge of their course. The teaching quality is better. The course curriculum is relevant. All teachers motivate their students. A few semester exams are easy, and a few are average. There is approximately a 60-65% chance that the exam will be easy.
Other: I chose CSE because of my interest in computers. Every year, a tech fest is organized along with an annual festival named Yash.

Good college for B.Tech in Nagpur.
Placements: 75.45% of students were placed during campus selection. The highest package was of 24 LPA, and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. The average package for the B.Tech program was 5 LPA. Recruiting companies were Wipro, TCS, Accenture, ACC, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, and Capgemini. All students do an internship in the last year of the program.
Infrastructure: There are 2 hostels for girls and boys each. Vivekananda hostel for boys (YCCE Campus) has fees of Triple beds and common toilets: 1 lac Rs Triple beds Non-AC room with attached toilets: 110,000 rs Double beds Non-AC room with attached toilets - 1,25,000 Rs Double beds AC room with attached toilets: 1,50,000 rs Hostel fees include a mess for breakfast and tea, lunch, hi-tea, and dinner. Savitribai Phule Girls Hostel, Sahakar Nagar, feels for hostel: 2-seater room: 107,000 rs 3-seater room - 86,000 rs 4-seater room - 75,500 rs 6-seater room - 70,200 rs Shalinitai hostel for girls fests (YCCE Campus): Triple beds with non-attached toilets: 1,10,000 rs MAI hostel Boys (Hingna MIDC) fees: Non-bunker beds: 9 beds per room - 71,000 rs.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful towards the students and are always ready to clear doubts of students. All qualified faculty members are open to taking feedback for improvement. The curriculum makes the students industry-ready. As it focuses mainly on the application of the knowledge, theory and lab lectures are separate for all subjects. Semester exams are tough. Minimum 40% for each subject to pass the exam.
Other: College has a great and large campus with lots of trees and separate buildings for each department. Wi-Fi connectivity is available throughout the college. A bit less focus on extracurriculars is quite a concern.

Sad reality of YCCE college.
Placements: As far as we know, the recession is going on in our IT industry. There is very high shortage of placements in every college. Students are getting placed one by one in this season with companies like TCS, Wipro, etc. When talking to seniors, they told me the placement rate was 60%.
Infrastructure: There we have our separate departments. Wi-Fi facilities are provided inside the labs only and our cellular network is low-use. We don't have our own cricket and football grounds for sports; we have to depend on other colleges grounds. Canteens and hostels have average tastes in food.
Faculty: The curriculum is not up-to-date for specialized branches but branches like IOT have better scope as they fall under the electronics department. Exams are way too serious; you have to study hard to score. There are no cheating in exams and teachers are very strict. You can pass easily by studying in one day, too.
Other: Events and fests are organized by students and enjoyed by them.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty.
Placements: As I am a first-year student, I can't tell what percentage of students are placed from my course, but after communicating with seniors, they told us that the highest package offered was 24 LPA, the lowest package offered was 3 LPA, and the average was 6-7 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Mahindra, Cognizant, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: Our campus has 24/7 Wi-Fi facilities and all types of labs in their respective buildings. The classrooms are in good condition with projectors. The college has provided a library for students with Wi-Fi and a computer section. Our hostel has very good facilities like 24/7 Wi-Fi and security and has hired a company for food, which is really good, and has a hospital service that is free for hostel students for check-ups.
Faculty: The faculty members are very good and very helpful, and they are all very knowledgeable and well-qualified in their particular subjects. The course is relevant for students who have an interest in machinery, and this course develops that. Semester exams depend on the branches, so I can't talk about the semester exams for other subjects. For the electronics engineering branch, the exam is average.
Other: As I have an interest in machinery and it is a leading course in the coming years, I chose this course. This course teaches us about machines and many more things. The campus is very crowded and has a forest surrounding it with a canteen on campus. It has a tech fest and all. For extracurricular activities, they have clubs and LLC lectures.

Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (IIT Wanadongri).
Placements: About 81% or more than 90% students were placed. The lowest package was 5 to 7 LPA, and the highest was up to 20 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Tech Mahindra, Tata, and many more. Many students got internships on their own, and many were provided by the help of the college.
Infrastructure: There is 24/7 Wi-Fi available on the full campus. Students can use it for necessary work. Hostels are very safe for students and contain hygienic mess facilities. The canteen also provides hygienic food. There are medical facilities available across the college.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified, and they are advanced with the subjects they teach, like Masters. The course is relevant to the industries. Semester exams are quite simple if you have studied. The exam pattern is quite lengthy, but students are able to overcome the difficulties.
Other: I chose this course since it was a popular choice before Corona. Nowadays, students avoid core branches. I would suggest improvement in fest conducting facilities. Scholarships are given to every student admitted through the CAP round.

Should you take admission in YCCE, Nagpur
Placements: 50-60 % of students get placed every year. The highest package is 24 lac and average package is around 6lac and lowest is 3 lac . The recruiting companies are TCS , Infosys etc. Many students got internship this year I don't know thw specific numbers .
Infrastructure: Themis college was once famous for its mechanical engineering. The laboratories and classroom are pretty good . The wifi speed is satisfactory too. The college has its hostel too . But quality of good it provides is satisfactory sometimes. Many hostel are are available for engineering students and medical students.
Faculty: The teachers here very helpful and supportive. They all are very well qualified and knowledge about their respected subjects. The course and curriculum are also helpful . The semester exam is strict compared to other colleges in Nagpur. The pass percentage is 50-60% .
Other: Since this college was good for mechanical engineering what I was was attiled for in cet it made me choose this college. The improvement I think it need in terms of good oaly ground for cricket aor any other sports. fests are limited this college is more focused on studies.
