B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2019
Offered by YRES's Bapurao Deshmukh College of Engineering

The college is good with an excellent campus.
Placements: Placements are available in our college, but the quality of placements are very less. Skills are more important for students to get placed, so students with skills get more opportunities for students. Overall looking towards the geographical area, it is providing better opportunities to students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is awesome. The college provides separate departments, and the campus is very eco-friendly. The college has a huge garden. The canteen of the college is also very good with quality food. Classrooms are also equipped with modern teaching facilities.
Faculty: The course curriculum is not that much up to date as technology is growing very rapidly. The syllabus is typical of an old pattern, and it has very less value in the actual world. Faculty members in our college are knowledgeable, qualified and supportive.

Good college in rural area.
Placements: Current placement rate is very poor by the college. The highest package was 2.5 and the lowest was 1.25L some good compromise came but they did not give much package. Very less student get a chance of internship. College arrange only one day trip but not gave opportunity for internship.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is better but labs are not fully equipped. Provide Wi-Fi, library is huge, classroom are also good. I didn't live at hostel so I don't know about that. In my department they don't have much practical equipment very few practical was performed.
Faculty: Senior Teacher staff is very good highly qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality of senior teacher is very good but junior teacher are not so qualified or knowledgeable. Yes they make student industry ready but student have to work very hard to work in industry.

The college is good in all aspects.
Placements: As per my experience, there were some campus drives conducted for our batch, and nearly 50-55 students got selected in different companies. From our senior batch, 40-50 students got selected. The placement percentage was approximately 40%. The highest salary package offered was 1.20 million per annum. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month and the average was Rs. 25,000 to 30,000 per month. I don't remember all the companies but some companies like Mahindra and Mahindra, Epic Solutions, some vendor companies of Bosch, Awachat Agro Limited, Vainganga Cement Products, etc., visited the campus for placements. The job profile offered to students were mostly in the core sector and involved on-floor and production work. Some software companies like Epic Solutions offered software roles, and some companies offered design engineer roles. As per the students' interest, the college provided internship letters to almost everyone, but after that, mostly 50-60% of the students did internships. The college has a placement and recruitment cell, and it was but partly useful because they never focus on a specific branch; they focus on the whole college.
Infrastructure: The college has a huge campus. All the facilities like Wi-Fi, labs for practicals, library, provision store, huge ground for sports and games, a separate building for indoor games, ambulance, garden, canteen, separate hostels for girls and boys, etc., are available on the campus.
Quality of labs and classrooms is quite good. Food available in the canteen is fresh and hygienic. Hostel rooms are good. I have not faced any issues related to infrastructure during my tenure.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Mostly, all the teachers are experienced and seniors, so they are knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was good, and teachers taught on the basis of students' requirements and exam demand. The faculty to student ratio was 1:20. There were some field visits conducted where we got industrial exposure. The course curriculum was useful for us.
Other: There are many events conducted like an annual function named Colors, many technical events like Wheelspin, etc. National and international conferences are conducted, and sports events also take place. The college is connected to both rural and urban areas, and the mode of transportation is easily available. Campus surroundings are good and huge. Scholarship programs are available as per the government rules.

Good Infrastructure but low on education.
Placements: Placements are good enough for IT / Computer fields. Companies like Patni computers, TCS, cognizant, accenture, Dell, L & T Infotech and etc. Core companies hardly visits the campus and students participates in the off campus drives mainly in Nagpur colleges.
Infrastructure: Mechanical engineering labs and computer labs are one of the best in the Vidarbha region. College infrastructure is good and gets upgraded time to time. College campus is full of greenery and gardens are well maintained by the college management. Students are allowed to sit anywhere in the campus for studies. College has a good play ground and gymkhana.
Faculty: College faculty is well experienced and being one of the oldest college in the area is highly preferred by the students taking admission in engineering. Course & curriculum is based on the RTMNU guidelines. Few less experienced teachers have also joined recently who spoils the learning atmosphere.

Faculty is good but placements are not good.
Placements: Placements are good at all. 80% are placed at our time but for senior that is nightmare for there batch. At there Time 2 companies visited but our time 20 companies visited. The highest packages are about 2.8l. A but the lowest packages are 1.5 la. Role offered to students are junior engineer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is setting now. So next batch have advantage and. Library is so big so you can increase your knowledge by reading books, medical facilities are good due to present of MGIMS hospital in neighbourhoods of college. Quality of food offers in canteen. Hostel room are good and ventilation in each room.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly experience in mechanical department. About more than half are Ph.D. holders, they are helpful not only related to study but also for extracurricular activities. 9:1 ratio of student to faculty in our department. As all departments are having there own building in campus. I suggest you to take mechanical field from our college. We don't get much industry exposure.
Other: Campus fest such as wheespin goes on, sports, colours, and etc. Over 3000+ candidate register for wheespin every year.
