The draft key was released on January 20, 2025.
The candidate was allowed to challenge the draft key from January 21-23, 2025. If a candidate had any objections, they had to submit their comment through the candidate portal. The final answer key of UCEED 2025 was released on January 29, 2025.
IIT Bombay conducted the UCEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025. The UCEED 2025 exam analysis is now available. It covers the difficulty level of the exam and other key inputs. UCEED 2025 had 2 parts.
The offline-based Part A will include 57 questions (NAT, MSQ, and MCQ-type questions were asked); the test duration for Part A was 2 hours. Meanwhile, Part B had a 1-hour test and included two questions - 1) sketching-based, and 2) design aptitude-based question.
Note that Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only if the candidate meets the cut-off.

Q: What are the eligibility criteria I need to meet to apply for UCEED 2025?
To apply for UCEED 2025, candidate must the following THREE criteria:
Criterion 1 – Age limit: The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2000, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 1995, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.
Criterion 2 – Number of attempts: The candidate is allowed to attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years.
Note that the UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.
Criterion 3 – Qualifying examination: The candidate should have passed all subjects in the qualifying examination (Class XII or
equivalent) in 2024 or should be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2025. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.
Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in UCEED 2025.
Q: When will the UCEED 2025 exam be conducted?
IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025 (9 am - 12 noon).
IIT Bombay has released the detailed admission schedule, including exam dates and application process.
The exam will be conducted in 27 cities aross India. Part A will be offline-based, while Part B will be conducted offline.
The application form commences on October 1, 2024.

Q: When will the UCEED 2025 application form open?
The application form for UCEED 2025 is now closed.
The last date to apply with regular fee was October 31; with late fees, applications were accepted till November 18, 2024.
IIT Bombay opened the application form for UCEED 2025 on October 1, 2024. It also launched a new website and released the admission notification.

What is UCEED Exam?
The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is a national-level exam conducted by IIT Bombay for admission to the BDes program at the following institutes: IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur.
Admission is based on UCEED merit. The candidate has to appear in the UCEED entrance exam, which is conducted by IIT Bombay. Eligible candidates must apply online through the admission portal.
To participate in UCEED counseling, the candidates must have passed the UCEED exam. IIT Bombay will conduct the counseling for qualified candidates, conduct seat allotment process, and complete admission formalities..
UCEED scores are also used by result-sharing institutes.
However, the result-sharing institutes will use UCEED 2025 scores to fill available seats in their UG courses.
The UCEED exam is conducted once every year, typically in January.
In the previous edition of the exam, more than 15,000 candidates registered for the exam, out of which around 13,500 candidates appeared in the exam.

The application form for UCEED 2025 has closed.
Candidates who met the prescribed eligibility criteria for the B.Des program had to apply before the last date.
The candidate could apply for UCEED 2025 with regular and late fees.
The late application fee is INR 500.
How to fill out the UCEED application form
To get registered, the candidate had to follow these steps.
- Online registration - Click on the registration link. You will be redirected to a registration form. Fill in details like a valid email ID and mobile number. An applicant account will be created.
- Fill in the form - The application form will have sections like personal, academic, and contact details. Fill in all the sections. You will also be required to select an exam city from the drop-down menu. Select the exam cities in the order of priority.
- Upload documents - The candidate has to upload documents like a photograph, signature, date of birth proof, and qualifying exam certificates in the prescribed format.
- Pay the application fee - The fee has to be paid in online mode. The application fee for the OPEN category is INR 4000, and INR 2000 for reserved category candidates.

UCEED Syllabus 2025
IIT Bombay revised the UCEED syllabus in the previous edition of the entrance exam.
Here are the key points about the UCEED syllabus 2025:
- The UCEED 2025 question paper has two parts - Part A and Part B
- Part A will be administered through a computer-based test and will consist of three sections (NAT, MSQ, and MCQ).
- Part B will now have TWO questions: one on Drawing and the other on Design aptitude. The question in Part B will be displayed on the computer screen and the answer has to be written/drawn in the answer book provided by the invigilator only.
- The duration for A will be 120 minutes, while Part B will be 60 min.

UCEED Exam Pattern 2025
The UCEED exam is divided into two parts - A and B.
As per the official exam pattern of UCEED 2025, Part B will include TWO questions; one on Drawing and the other on Design aptitude. The duration of Paper B will be 60 minutes. The question in Part B will be displayed on the computer screen and the answer has to be written/drawn in the answer book provided by the invigilator only.
Further, Part B will be evaluated only if the candidate qualifies Part A.
