CEED Participating Institutes 2025 - There are currently eight participating institutes of CEED 2025.
These institutes will consider CEED 2025 scores for admission to the M.Des and PhD courses offered by them. The participating institutes have an intake of more than 302 seats for the M.Des program.
Note that, unlike UCEED, IIT Bombay will not conduct any Joint Admission Process (or counseling) for CEED-participating institutes.
So, the candidate has to apply directly to the participating college once CEED 2025 results are declared. The counseling-cum-application form will be hosted on the institute portal. To apply, you have to get registered, upload the CEED 2025 scorecards and other mandatory documents, and submit the form.
The participating institutes may conduct further admission rounds like personal interviews and Portfolio reviews. Candidates who are assigned a merit rank in CEED 2025 can apply for admission. The participating institute will then make a merit list and shortlist candidates for admission.
IIT Bombay will also release a list of CEED 2025 result-sharing institutes; read below to learn about them.Â
The CEED 2025 entrance exam will be conducted on January 19, 2025 (9 am - 12 noon).

Candidates who have been assigned a merit rank in CEED 2025 need to apply directly to the participating institute. Counseling registration will commence soon after CEED 2025 results are declared.
Q: Â When will the CEED 2025 exam be conducted?
IIT Bombay will conduct the CEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025 (9 am - 12 noon).
The exam will includ two sections - Part A and Part B. Part A of the exam will be administered in a computer-based mode, whereas Part B will be held offline. It is mandatory for candidates to qualify for Part A.
If the candidate fails to qualify for Part A, his or her Part B answers booklet will not be evaluated.
The final score cum merit list of CEED 2025 will be calculated by giving weightage to both Part A and Part B.
Q: Â Can I apply for Joint Seat Allocation for admission to M.Des programme based on CEED 2025 scores?
IIT Bombay will not conduct any Joint Seat Allotment process for CEED 2025 qualified candidates. Instead, the candidate will have to apply directly to any or all of the eight participating institutes for admission. Note that IIT Bombay conducts a Joint Seat Allotment process for UCEED.
To get admission to a CEED 2025 participating institute, the candidate needs to go to the admission portal of the institute and fill in the counseling registration form. The registration form will open soon after the CEED 2025 results are declared.
Note that the participating institutes may conduct further admission rounds, like interview, before publishing the merit list for admission.
Q: Â When will the application form for CEED 2025 open?
The CEED 2025 applications opened on October 1, 2025. The application has to be filled online at ceed.iitb.ac.in.
The candidate can apply with both regular and late fees.
All the details pertaining to the CEED 2025 application form has been updated on the admission portals, including the information brochure. The candidate needs to carefully go through the brochure to check their eligibility. Note that information entered by the candidate at the time of submitting their application form will be verified at the time of counseling. Any candidate who doesn’t meet the criteria will be disqualified.

Q: Â What details I need to know before applying to a CEED 2025 participating institute?
The candidate may note that the counseling application window for CEED is typically short. For instance, for CEED 2024, the counseling registration for the M.Des programme was conducted by IIT Bombay from March 11-28, 2024. So, it is important that the candidate is ready and well-informed.
Before filling out the application form, it is recommended that the candidate downloads the information brochure and goes through the key points carefully. The brochure would have information pertaining to eligibility criteria, documents required, application fee structure, and case certificate. It may be noted that only such candidates who have been assigned a merit rank in CEED 2025 may apply for admission.
Q: Â Is the number of CEED participating institutes constant?
IIT Bombay declares the names of the CEED participating institutes at the time of the release of the admission notification or sometime thereabout. Also, the number of participating instittutes may change from one year to another. So, we can’t say that the number of participating institutes is fixed.
In fact, IIT Bomaby in consultation with the member institutes decides the list of participating institutes. Note that the IIT Bombay conducts a Joint Seat Allotment Process for the participating institutes. Also, participating institutes can only use CEED scores for admission purposes.
Q: Â When will CEED 2025 participating institutes open the counseling registration form?

CEED 2025 Result-sharing institutes
One difference between CEED 2025 result-sharing colleges and participating colleges is the result-sharing institutes will also use scores of OTHER entrance exams to fill some of their M.Des seats.
However, the participating colleges will only consider CEED 2025 merit ranks for admission purposes.
To give you an example, IIT Delhi will not accept NIFT or NID scores for admission to its M.Des program. However, if you are applying to a result-sharing institute, it may also accept scores of other exams.

Q: Â How are CEED 2025 result sharing institutes different from participating institutes?
The participating institutes of CEED 2025 will offer admission to the M.Des courses based on CEED 2025 scores only. They will not accept scores of other entrance exams for admission process. Also, IIT Bombay will conduct a Joint Seat Allotment Process or Counseling for the participating institutes.
On the other hand, result-sharing institutes will not participate in the Joint Seat Allotment Process. Instead, these institutes will conduct counseling at an institute-level. This means, the candidate has to apply directly to these institutes based on their CEED 2025 scores. Another thing is result-sharing institutes will allocate only a fraction of the seats for CEED 2025 qualified candidates. The remaining seats will be filled by considering scores of other entrance exams.
Q: Â Is the number of CEED result-sharing institutes same for all academic sessions?
The number of CEED result-sharing institutes is not constant. In fact, every year there is a different set of institutes that make the list of CEED result-sharing institutes. Note that the names of the CEED 2025 result-sharing institute will be announced on the admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in.
Also, an institute can member a result-sharing institute at various stages of the CEED 2025 exam and admission process. For instance, some institute decide to become a result-sharing institute even before CEED exam is conducted, whereas there are others that only become result-shairng institutes after CEED results are declared.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to CEED Participating Institutes
The candidate needs to meet the following criteria TWO criteria:
- A valid CEED 2025 score
- A passing grade in the qualifying degreeÂ
Qualifying degrees (As per information released by IIT Jodhpur)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Design/Engineering/Architecture/Interior Design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four-year Bachelor’s course). Note: B.Plan. considered equivalent to B.Arch. Four-year B.Sc (Engg) course after HSC is considered equivalent to BE/B.Tech.
- Professional Diploma in Design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four-year diploma program).
- BFA (4 Year professional program with entry after 10+2).
- GD Art (4-year program after 1-year foundation. Minimum entry requirement 10th pass) Additionally, one year of professional experience in design areas is required.
- Master’s Degree in Arts, Science (3+2 years program with entry after 10+2).
- Master’s Degree in Computer Application (3 years or 2 years in case of lateral entry to the second year after the BCA program with entry after 10+2+3 years for graduation).
- Or an equivalent degree as decided by the participating institute.
The candidate is urged to visit the website of the participating institute directly to get any other specific admission criteria.
How to apply to a CEED Participating Institute
The application form for admission typically opens after CEED results are declared.
- Application form submission - Candidates who have qualified CEED 2025 have to apply on the admission portal of the participating institute.
- Shortlisting of candidates for online evaluation - Based on applications received, the institute will shortlist candidates for an online interview.
- Portfolio submission - The candidate will also have to submit a portfolio.
- Online interview - The candidate will next appear in the online interview.
- Declaration of results - The institute will publish the list of selected candidates on its admission portal.
- Payment of fees and confirmation of admission - Selected candidates have to pay the admission fee and complete any other admission formalities.
Application Cycle:
The candidate may note that the participating colleges will OPEN the counseling-cum-application form for CEED 2025 immediately after the results are declared.
For instance, in the last edition of the exam, IIT Bombay STARTED the application form on March 11, 2024 (the same day CEED 2024 results were declared. The last date to fill the application form was March 28, 2024.
The shortlist for the M.Des and M.Des by research evaluation was released on April 22, 2024.
This was followed by a written test on May 10, 2024. This was followed by an interview on May 11, 2024.Â
The results (or seat allotment) were declared on June 3, 2024.Â

- MSQ (Multiple Select Question): 10 questions
