GATE 2022: IIT Kharagpur removes one more exam city; make changes at gate.iitkgp.ac.in
In total, IIT Kharagpur has removed three cities from the list of GATE exam cities β Sonepat, Panipat and Idukki. GATE 2022 will be conducted on February 5, 6, 12, and 13, 2022.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has removed one more exam city, Idukki, from the list of GATE 2022 exam cities. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) authorities had earlier cancelled the exam centres set up in the Sonepat and Panipat cities of Haryana. GATE 2022 will be held on February 5, 6, 12, and 13, 2022.
In an official notice, IIT Kharagpur, the conducting authority of GATE 2022 exam, said, βWe regret to inform you that the exam cities Sonepat, Panipat, and Idukki have been cancelled. Candidates selected from these cities are requested to change the city choice without additional fees.β Meanwhile, the online application window to make changes to the GATE 2022 application form will conclude on November 12.

Along with the change in the exam cities, aspirants can also edit and modify the GATE application form. Candidates can change or edit their category, paper and examination city. The application correction window will close on November 12. Candidates who have applied earlier can access the correction window at gate.iitkgp.ac.in with registration numbers and other required credentials.
How to make changes to GATE 2022 application form
- Visit the official website -- gate.iitkgp.ac.in
- On the homepage, click on the 'Login' tab
- On the next window, insert the GATE application numbers and required credentials
- Click on 'Login' and make changes in the application form as required
- Pay the application correction fee, if required
- Cross check the form and submit
- Take a print out of the updated GATE 2022 application form
