The only concern is the low number of tie-ups with industries to allow the students for better prospects.

I was not so worried about the placement rate because they placed all the students.
Placements: At Nirma University, 100 percent of students are placed in different companies. In mechanical engineering, the highest package is up to 15 lacs, and the lowest package is about 6 Lacs. TATA, RELIANCE, ADANI, MARUTI, and L&T are among the companies recruiting at Nirma University. Roles offered are maintenance engineer, supervisors, etc.
Infrastructure: The Nirma University campus is beautiful. So many trees are on campus. The campus is so large. Nirma provides us with facilities like advanced labs with the latest technology, and an air-conditioned classroom with a projector and step-wise seating arrangement. Nirma provides wi-fi facilities, but only for laptops and not for mobile devices.
Faculty: In Nirma University, professors are mostly IITIANS. They are most helpful. The course curriculum is relevant to the actual industries. At Nirma University, they provide industry visits each semester. Therefore, we are seeing how we learned and how this is implemented in real industry.
Other: I chose the mechanical because this branch is the only green branch in all branches. The best thing about my course is that we learn about manufacturing processes, which help you when you open your own company.

Life of Nirma University!
Placements: In my branch, there was around a 98% placement ratio. The highest package was 15 lakhs per annum, the average package was 9 lakhs per annum, and the minimum package was 5 lakhs per annum. All students are placed with very named companies with assurance by the university. There are also other clubs for extra activities for students, and I joined Team Stallion as my branch; you can check it on IG also.
Infrastructure: In our college, the infrastructure is very beautiful and simple, so even though some blocks are 30 years old, they all look awesome. There are hostels for MBA students and girls, but sometimes they are full, and MBA students have no chance for it.
Faculty: The teaching quality is decent, but the teachers have the mindset that if students want to learn, they have to come to them and ask. No student will be industry-ready at the university level, and the difficulty of papers is mid-range. If you focus in class, you must pass the exam; the passing marks are 35% of the total marks.
Other: I come from a manufacturing background of brass items, so my background and interest are the same, which is why I chose mechanical engineering. I am in the TFWS category; in this category, you only have to pay the exam fee of your college, in my case, that is only 3500 per semester.

Review of mechanical engineering at Nirma University.
Placements: In mechanical engineering last year, 110 students applied for placement, in which there was 92% placement ratio. The average salary offered was 7.5 LPA and the highest package offered in mechanical was 14 LPA. The lowest package offered was 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies for mechanical are: Bosch, Tata Motors, Adani, Reliance, Torrent, Power, Tata Power, Mahindra, Amazon, Google, TCS, etc. The roles offered in our college are in IT companies; mostly the roles are managerial roles to lead the team. In power sector and energy sector, mainly the roles of engineer is to design and improve the performance and efficiency of machines. In the manufacturing industry, it is to see and lead the workers and to apply cost-cutting operations. The internships are offered after 6 semesters at the college. Currently, I am studying in the 5th semester, so I have not much idea about it. But companies like ISRO, Adani, BIS, etc. give the projects and internship very much to NIRMA UNIVERSITY. Currently I am also working on project funded by BIS (bureau of Indian standards) in which I have to analyze the design and strength of materials used in transmission lies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of Nirma: sports ground (badminton, cricket, table tennis, volleyball, racing track, tennis), 4 hostels (h1, h2, h3, h4), auditoriums, 3 canteens, medical block, bus facility, computer labs, sitting areas, vending machines, etc. For my department: Wi-Fi, Cad software labs, CAM machines like CNC and VMC, vmc conventional machines in workshop, all core thermodynamics subjects labs, auditorium, non-AC classrooms, mechanical library, centre for robotics lab. In the hostel, the basic facilities were given, like bed, AC, tables and washrooms, induction, fridge, etc. The quality of food in mess and canteen is average only. Once my friend got food poisoning also eating food of mess, so hygiene wise it is poor.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are not at all friendly and they also do not have much knowledge, They only know how to shoot and sell at the students and not know how to teach the subject. Also, the head and teachers will not understand the problems of the students and the new rules made in college are always in the benefit of faculty only. The course curriculum is relevant as we are learning all the core subjects of mechanical. Also, there is a facility to opt for minors, so you can also learn CS law and management subjects even if you are doing mechanical. Yes, there is always a barrier between theoretical engineering and practical engineering, but it is reduced somehow by students of GTU colleges. The end-of-semester exams are moderate, out of which 70% paper is always easy and rest 30% is always difficult, thus you can easily score at least 50-60 marks and get passed. The pass ratio is 85%, so 10–15 students fail the end-of-semester exams and have to give a supplementary exam.
Other: The best things about mechanical is that it is easy and once you know the concepts, you can clear it. Also, manufacturing is more practical and needed in every sector. The main thing all engineers love of mechanical is designing the component and Thermodynamics. Now a days you can analyse where your component will be failing and the critical points using FEA and computational fluid dynamics. Things I wish to get improved are that instead of learning all department subjects in the first year, rather software like SolidWorks, CATIA, and Ansys should be taught in the first year more deeply. Events in Nirma are held most from Jan to April. Main events are vaudeville, ashwamedha, praveg, Kalp, etc. Campus is big and lush green campus. The public coming to Nirma is decent and coming from well-settled families. There are two main scholarships, MYSY and NIRMA SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME; more details you will get on website about it.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2025

A brief overview of Nirma University. Great campus, amazing faculty members and good infrastructure.
Placements: 1. Almost 100% of students in mechanical engineering who opted for placement in 2024 have been placed. 2. 4 LPA was the lowest package and 12 Lacs was the highest. 3. A few of the top recruiting companies are ZS, Micron, Deloitte, Reliance, Tata Motors, etc. 4. All students have to complete a 2 or 6-month internship; approximately 30% got a 2-month internship from college and 80 % got a 6-month internship from college.
Infrastructure: 1. There is a facility if free Wi-Fi at college. All the classrooms are well maintained and have projector for interactive learning. The department has various laboratories, such as fluid mechanics lab, thermal lab, cad-cam lab, etc. 2. All though I don't stay in a hostel, I have few pieces of information from friends. Hostel rooms are well facilitated and have varieties like single occupancy, 2 sharing, 3 sharing, A. C., and non-A.C. The mess has diverse food menu. About canteen Nirma has 3 canteens and all of them serve different varieties of food.
Faculty: 1. According to me, all the faculty members here are the best source for the students, as most of them are highly educated; in fact, more than 90% have done their Ph.D. majority of the faculty members are really great at teaching and are always ready to help. 2. Yes, the course is relevant and the course gets updated based on industrial need. For example, they introduce new courses like Artificial intelligence and Campus to corporations. We also have course like yoga and creative thinking for all-round development. Also, after 2 years, we get to choose few of subjects to study based on our interests.
Other: 1. I chose this course because I am interested in aeronautical engineering but if I pursue such a course, it is too narrow and won't allow me to work in other fields, whereas mechanical engineering allows me to work in the aeronautics domain and along with that, I can also work in robotics and done field, which is highly emerging these days, & mechanical being an evergreen field, there are less chances of recession. 2. At Nirma, there are various festivals organized by the student club. There is a bus stop just outside the campus, which helps with transportation. There are many extracurricular activities taking place on campus. They also provide scholarships based on merit.

Our university provides 85% of the attendance system.
Placements: Many eligible students got placed in our course. The average salary package offered is 7 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 11 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, TCS, Mahindra, Microsoft, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with all the facilities. Every block is well maintained. Classrooms are air-conditioned. We have separate laboratories for every department. Hostel rooms are spacious. There are 3 boys' hostels and 1 girls' hostel. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel. We have laundry services.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. We have practical and theoretical learning as well. Most of the students pass their semester exams easily. Semester exams are moderate. The teacher and student ratio is good.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in cars and airplanes. There are clubs named Stallions and aero club. Many cultural fests are conducted where several stars perform for entertainment purposes.

I can't assure you 100%, but If you wrote JEE exam and score good percentage you can. With your quota, you can apply directly in college you can't attend JoSSA, unless you write JEE (main & advanced).

With 54 marks you will not get a seat in any NIT as the score is not for the colleges you want to join. So try for IIITs to have better opportunities.

Yes, if you have equivalent Diploma in the same branch which you want to pursue. The admission process however is centralized for entire state and is under ACPC. You have a great CGPA in diploma go through ACPC site. All the best.

Hi, with these marks you can only get admission in private colleges or your state government engineering colleges. So try for that.
