JoSAA 2025 Dates: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will announce the JoSAA counselling dates 2025 in June 2025. A day after the JEE Advanced 2025 result is announced the JoSAA application form will be released online at josaa.nic.in. JoSAA 2025 choice filling will also start with the registration process in June 2025. JoSAA 2025 counselling is expected to take place in five main rounds. Each round will have these steps: seat allotment, seat confirmation by candidates, online reporting at the allotted institute, and payment of fees. After all the rounds, any vacant seats remaining will be allotted via the CSAB counselling 2025.

Until the dates for the 2025 session are released, candidates can follow the details from the previous year on this page to have an idea of the JoSAA schedule.

Q: Will choice filling be available in every round of JoSAA counselling?
No. You are only allowed to fill choices once before entering the first round of counselling and that choice list is final. Candidates are given only one chance to enter their choice, edit the choices, rearrange them before the choice filling deadline. ALl candidates have to save and lock their choices within the prescribed deadline. No more chances to fill.edit/rearrange the choices will be provided in the subsequent rounds of JoSAA counselling.

JoSAA 2025 Choice Filling Dates
The JoSAA 2025 choice filling and registration process involves simultaneous registration and choice filling by candidates. They are required to register and prioritize their choices within the JoSAA choice filling last date. During this process, candidates will be presented with a range of available choices, including institutes and programmes. They can specify the institute type, institute name, and programme from the options provided. Applicants need to add as many choices as possible in order of their preference from the list.
Candidates have the flexibility to modify the order of their preferences in the list. Once satisfied with their choices and their respective order, they can save the list. Subsequently, candidates have the freedom to modify and edit their choices multiple times before the deadline. Upon finalizing their selection, candidates can lock in their choices. Once locked, the choices cannot be edited or changed. If candidates fail to lock their choices by the deadline, the system will automatically lock them.
JoSAA Counselling 2025 Seat Allotment Dates
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the seat allotment result for candidates who appeared for JEE Main 2025. Candidates can access the result by logging in using their JEE Main 2025 application number and JoSAA 2025 password. Seats are allocated based on the candidates' JEE Main/Advanced ranks, categories, and the choices they fill. Upon being allocated a seat, candidates must download the "Initial Seat Allotment Intimation Slip" to obtain information about the allotted seat. Candidates are responsible for logging in to the JoSAA portal to check if a seat has been allocated during a specific round of seat allocation. No separate intimation of seat allocation will be provided to the candidate.
JoSAA 2025 Seat Acceptance Date
The candidate must accept the allocated seat and select one of the following options for their academic program in any subsequent rounds of joint seat allocation as per the deadline: ‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’, or ‘Float’. The ‘Slide’ and ‘Float’ options are only available to candidates who are not offered admission to their top choice in their preference list. Note that the ‘Slide’ and ‘Float’ options are not available in the final round of JoSAA. During all rounds of seat allocation except the last round, candidates can switch between ‘Float’ and ‘Slide’, or from ‘Slide’ to ‘Freeze’. However, if a candidate chooses ‘Freeze’ for a seat, this decision is final and cannot be altered in subsequent rounds under any circumstances.
JoSAA 2025 Documents Verification and Online Reporting Date
Candidates who are assigned seats must upload their documents to the online JoSAA 2025 portal for verification. If a query is raised during the verification process, candidates must respond through the online candidate portal within the specified time frame. Failure to do so will lead to the cancellation of the allotted seat and render the candidate ineligible for participation in subsequent rounds of JoSAA 2025. Candidates are responsible for regularly monitoring the online portal and ensuring timely responses to any queries. No separate notifications will be issued to the candidates.
