APPSC Group 1 syllabus is the most important component of the Group 1 exam preparation because it decides the path of the preparation and the structure of the APPSC Group 1 paper. The APPSC Group 1 exam is conducted to recruit the candidates for the state's highest services(Group 1). These officers work directly under the state government and they are appointed by the Governor of the state. APPSC Group 1 syllabus is notified in the APPSC Group 1 notification.
Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has changed the APPSC Group 1 exam pattern in the latest notification. The new exam pattern of APPSC Group 1 exam will now include a separate paper of Polity, Constitution, Law, Governance and Ethics as a General Studies paper III.
The APPSC Group 1 Syllabus is the key to the new exam pattern and this year all the candidates will be at level playing field because of the new exam pattern. The new syllabus for the APPSC Group 1 exam will ensure the selection of the candidate only if they prepare all the topics of the new APPSC Group 1 syllabus.

APPSC Group 1 Syllabus
The APPSC Group 1 prelims exam act as a screening exam only and the candidates needs to qualify the exam so that they can appear in the main exam. The prelims syllabus is the abridged version of the main exam and the candidates should take an integrated approach to the APPSC group 1 syllabus. It is very important to prepare the syllabus to qualify in the APPSC Group 1 exam.

Constitution polity, Social Justice and International relations
This section of the APPSC Group 1 syllabus deals with the Indian polity and the constitutional developments took place in the establishment of Andhra Pradesh. Besides, Social justice topics will also be included. The International relation has the current orientation also. The topics will include

2. Physical: World, India and concerned State: Major physical divisions, Earthquakes, landslides, Natural drainage, climatic changes and regions, Monsoon, Natural Vegetation, Parks and Sanctuaries, Major Soil types, Rocks and Minerals.
3. Social: World, India and concerned State: distribution, density, growth, Sex-ratio, Literacy, Occupational Structure, SC and ST Population, Rural-Urban components, Racial, tribal, religious and linguistic groups, urbanization, migration and metropolitan regions.

General Aptitude Paper
The General Aptitude paper is a dynamic paper and it has the current orientations. In addition to maths and administrative abilities, it includes topic from Science and Technologies and Current events. The structure of the paper is as follows
