ICAR NET or ASRB NET is conducted to recruit Lecturers/ Assistant Professors in State Agricultural Universities and other Agricultural Universities. ASRB follows a particular pattern for ASRB NET. Candidates who are going to appear for the exam, must have a clear understanding of ICAR or ASRB NET exam pattern. ASRB NET exam pattern is relatively simple compared to other NETs. This exam basically screens candidates on the basis of their knowledge and understanding of their chosen disciplines. On the basis of their performance in the written exam, they get a chance to apply for the vacancies released by different state agricultural universities or other universities.

The ASRB NET (Agriculture Scientists Recruitment Board National Eligibility Test) Exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options and a single correct answer. The questions are designed to test the candidates' knowledge, understanding, and Agriculture knowledge related to the relevant subjects. The type of questions asked in the ASRB NET Exam can be broadly classified into three categories, namely:

Q:   How many attempts are allowed for ASRB ICAR NET exam?

A:

The maximum number of attempts allowed for a candidate to sit for the examination is five. However, the maximum number of attempts is not allowed for SC or ST candidates who are otherwise qualified and have unlimited attempt limit. The exam is usually held in December and the notice for the examination is issued a few months before the date of the examination. Whether the ASRB conducts the ICAR NET examination once or twice every year is dependent on various factors such as availability of vacant posts, demand for skilled candidates in the field of agriculture research and education, and resources and administrative aspects of ASRB and ICAR.

A:

The duration of the ASRB ICAR NET exam is set at 2 hours or 120 minutes. This exam is qualifying in nature, it enables applicants to apply for the vacancies released by different agricultural universities. The ASRB NET exam includes only one paper.
