The ASRB NET (Agriculture Scientists Recruitment Board National Eligibility Test) Exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options and a single correct answer. The questions are designed to test the candidates' knowledge, understanding, and Agriculture knowledge related to the relevant subjects. The type of questions asked in the ASRB NET Exam can be broadly classified into three categories, namely:

  1. Conceptual Questions: These questions are designed to test the candidates' understanding of the fundamental concepts related to the relevant subjects. They may require the candidates to recall and apply the concepts learned during their academic studies.
  2. Agricultural Questions: ASRB NET is an exam conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates as Lecturers / Assistant Professors in State Agricultural Universities (SAUs). ASRB NET Selection Process 2023

The selection process of the ASRB ICAR net is as follows: 

  • ASRB NET Application: After the release of the ASRB NET notification, candidates need to apply online on the official website of ASRB. The application process includes registration, filling of basic details and online payment of the application fee. 
  • ASRB NET Admit Card: Successfully registered candidates are required to download their ASRB NET admit card online. The board does not send the admit card through the post.  
  • ASRB NET Exam: ASRB NET is qualifying in nature. The exam is conducted in online mode. Candidates need to answer a total of 150 questions within two hours and each question carries one mark. There is a negative marking system in the exam of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer. The questions in the exam are asked from the subject chosen by candidates while filling out the application form. The level of the papers shall be of master’s degree and ASRB NET question papers are made available in two languages- English and Hindi.
  • ASRB NET Result: Those who successfully obtain the cutoff marks are declared qualified for the exam. The ASRB NET-qualified candidates are able to apply for lecturer or assistant professor posts when vacancies are released by different agricultural universities.
