Computer-Based Aptitude Test and Typing Test
CBAT is conducted for Station Master and Traffic Assistant while Typing Skill Test is held for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, and Senior Time Keeper. In CBAT, candidates are given test batteries consisting of six tests as per the posts. In typing tests, candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on the computer without using editing tools and spell check facility.Â
Document Verification Phase
Candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for document verification. Candidates equal to 50 per cent of the number of vacancies for various posts are called for document verification.
Medical Test
Before final selection, candidates need to undergo a medical test wherein the railway administration examines their physical fitness so that they carry out the duties as the posts. Visual Acuity Standard is given due importance in the medical test.
RRB NTPC Marking Scheme
RRB NTPC scores are calculated based on the marking scheme prescribed by the examination authority. For the correct answer, candidates score one mark. There is negative marking for wrong answers, 1/3 marks are deducted for incorrect answers. The marks of each session of the test are normalised since the exam is conducted in multiple sessions.
