Yes, CTET 2024 exam is held on a single day. The exam is held in two shifts on each day. The first shift (9:30 AM-12 Noon) is conducted for CTET Paper 1, and the second shift (2:30-5:00 PM) for CTET Paper 2. In January 2021 and 2022, the CTET exam was not conducted on a single day. The CTET exam was held on multiple days and in multiple shifts as the exam was held online as Computer Based Test (CBT). Before that until 2020, the CTET exam was conducted on a single day in two shifts. 

The CTET admit card is generally released two days prior to the exam date. The CTET admit card is released in two phases- pre-admit card and main admit card. The CTET pre-admit card is released to make candidates aware of the exam date and city.
