CTET Result 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon announce the result of the CTET Dec 2024 exam after the completion of the assessment process. What's Next after CTET Result 2024?: Applicability of CTET exam

According to the CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws, candidates need to qualify the CTET or TET exam to become eligible for teaching Classes 1 to 8 in the schools affiliated to the CBSE. After declared pass in the CTET result, candidates can apply for teacher recruitment in the following types of schools:

  • Schools affiliated under the Central Government- KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.
  • Schools under the administrative control of Union Territories such as Delhi, Chandigarh, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep.
  • Private schools that consider and require CTET qualification.

Once you pass the CTET exam, you are eligible to apply for primary teachers and TGT posts in Central Government Schools such as Army Schools, Central CBSE Schools/KVS, and Navodaya Samithi Schools. For Navodaya Schools, there are not more than 6000 jobs in 1300 Central schools and 961 Navodaya Schools per year. Every year approximately 100000 aspirants qualify for CTET. Q:   Is CTET valid for lifetime?

A:
The CTET exam is valid for life. Until 2021, the CTET eligibility Certificate was valid for a period of seven years starting from the date of declaration of result. However, in June 2021, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and CBSE as well officially extended the CTET passing Certificate validity to lifetime. However, candidates need to fulfil the age limit criteria fixed by the respective teacher recruiting body such as NVS, KVS or others. Therefore, candidates can apply for the teaching jobs after qualifying the Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET however, they must fall within the age limit defined by the respective agency.
