IBPS Clerk Scorecard 2024
IBPS Clerk Scorecard is released a few days after the declaration of the result. It displays the overall marks, section-wise marks, cut-off marks and qualifying status. IBPS Clerk Scorecard 2024: Marking Scheme
IBPS Clerk marking scheme is given below:
- For correct answer, one mark is awarded to candidates
- For incorrect answers, 0.25 marks are awarded
- The number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the corrected score after applying the penalty for the wrong answer.
- The corrected scores obtained by candidates are made equivalent to adjust the differences in the difficulty level since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts to arrive at the equated scores
- Scores obtained by candidates in any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms
- Final scores in each test are rounded off to up to two digits after the decimal point
IBPS Clerk Normalisation
IBPS calculates IBPS Clerk marks through normalisation. This helps to get a rounded-up figure. Since the exam is conducted over days and has multiple shifts, the question paper varies from one shift to another. Normalisation helps in the fair evaluation. The process is followed in both prelims and mains exams. IBPS Clerk normalisation is done to adjust the difficulty level of question papers across various sessions. The process is done using the equi-percentile method.

The process of provisional allotment is given below:
- The total marks allotted to the mains exam are 200. Marks are converted out of 100 for provisional allotment. Candidates should qualify in the online main exam and be sufficiently high in merit to be considered for the subsequent provisional allotment process
- On completion of the mains exam, depending on the state/UT-wise vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2023-24 based on the business needs of the participating banks, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks based on merit-cum-preference
- The provisional allotment is done on the basis of actual vacancies reported by the participating banks
- Candidates belonging to the reserved category, selected on the basis of norms as applicable to the General Category will be treated at par with a General category candidate. Such own merit candidates belonging to reserved categories who are provisionally allotted under unreserved (General) category will not be adjusted against a reserved post. However, their original category as registered in the online registration will remain unchanged
- The provisional allotment is subject to the candidate fulfilling the criteria for participating bank and identity verification to the satisfaction of the allotted bank. This does not constitute an offer of employment. Verification of documents with regard to eligibility criteria is carried out by the participating bank
- The participating bank also ascertains Proficiency of the local language (reading, writing, and speaking) of the State/UT for the provisionally allotted candidates

Therefore, the in-hand salary of an IBPS Clerk may range between INR 28,000 to 30,000 per month. The following allowances are offered to IBPS Clerk: Dearness Allowance: This component is 4 per cent of the Basic Pay. DA depends on the CPI and is revised after every three months. House Rent Allowance: The HRA is dependent on the location of the posting.
