IBPS PO salary is one of the most important components apart from job security which motivates the candidates to apply for the IBPS PO exam. The candidates shold note that the IBPS PO salary is not govern by the Pay Commission constituted by the Governement of India. The IBPS PO salary is covered by the Bipartite Agreement between the Indian Bank's Association and the Bank Employee Unions. The 12th Bipartite Agreement was signed by both the parties on March 12, 2024. It will be applicable from November 1, 2022, and will remain in force till November 1, 2027. It will see a growth of 17 per cent in the Basic Salary of the Bank PO Salary. Other allowances will be raised accordingly.

Candidates must be conversant with the IBPS PO salary so that they decide whether the job is suitable for them or not. The public sector banks in India offer a lucrative salary to candidates selected to the post of Probationary Officers through the IBPS PO exam. Q:   What is the pay scale of IBPS PO?

IBPS PO pay scale is INR 23700 - (980 / 7) - 30560 - (1145 / 2) - 32850 - (1310 / 7) – 42020, including INR 980 is the annual increment that will add up to the basic salary, and it will be applicable for 7 years. The basic salary after 7 Years is INR 30,560. Also, the basic IBPS PO salary after 7 + 2 Years is INR 32,850 and the basic salary after 7 + 2 + 7 Years is INR 42,020. (as per the 10th Bipartite settlement). The basic IBPS PO salary is INR 36,000. IBPS PO Salary After 12th Bipartitie Settlement

The Indian Bank's Association and the Bank Employees Union signed the agreement on April 12, 2024. Both parties agreed to an increase of 17 per cent in the Basic Salary of the bank employees. The 12th Bipartite Agreement covers the employees of 12 Public Sector Banks, 10 Private Sector Banks and 3 Foreign Banks. The Bipartite Agreement also offered four stagnant increments instead of one to the senior bank employee.

The new salary structure will also offer the following allowances:

  • Posting Allowance
  • Special Area Allowance
  • Hill and Fuel Allowance

Posting Allowance will depend on the altitude of posting. Postings to places at an altitude above 1,000 metres but less than 1,500 metres, between 1,500 and 3,000 metres, and above 3,000 metres entail different rates of allowances – the higher the location, the bigger the allowance.

The index of Dearness Allowance was also shifted to 2016 =100. These changes will be reflected in the IBPS Bank PO Salary soon.
