Q:   What is IBPS PO vacancies?

IBPS mentions IBPS PO reserve list to the extent of approximately 10 per cent of the vacancies under each category subject to the availability of candidates. This does not guarantee provisional allotment/recruitment by the participating banks. In the event of participating banks providing further vacancies, provisional allotment may be carried out three to four times for the candidates in the reserve list, based on the vacancies provided by some or any of the participating banks. However, if no vacancy is furnished by the participating banks owing to exigencies or otherwise during the validity period, the candidates under the reserve list will not be considered for provisional allotment. Candidates who are not provisionally allotted or not in the reserve list will not be considered for any further process.

IBPS PO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection to select eligible candidates for the post of Probationary Officers in different public sector banks in India. The exam is being conducted every year since 2011. IBPS PO exam is for selection of candidates for the 11 public sector banks. IBPS PO exam is conducted online at various locations throughout India. Q:   Is there any probation period for IBPS PO?

A:

Yes, candidates selected for the post of IBPS PO will be on probation for two years. During probation, the performance of candidates is assessed. They need to undergo training in the various branches. On successful completion of training, candidates are confirmed to the position of Probationary Officers. During the probation period, candidates are trained on various banking services. They are also required to undergo certain banking courses. The pay scale of candidates is INR 23,700-(980 x 7) -30,560-(1145 x 2)-32850-(1310 x 7)-42,020. The basic salary of IBPS PO is INR 36,000. Besides the salary, candidates are also entitled to various perks and benefits.

Q:   What is IBPS PO Educational Qualification?

A:

IBPS PO educational qualification is a Degree/Graduation in any discipline from a university recognised by the government. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Candidates must possess valid marksheet/degree Certificate that they are graduate on the day they register and indicates the percentage of marks obtained in graduation while registration online. All educational mentioned by the examination authority should be from a university/institution/board recognised by government. Of India/approved by government/approved by government. The initial IBPS PO salary package offered to an IBPS Probationary Officer is INR 52,000 to 55,000 with dearness allowances, special allowances, HRA, and other perks. The gross IBPS PO salary is around INR 57,000 and after a deduction, the net in hand salary remains around INR 52,000 to 55,000.

Q:   What happens after you clear IBPS PO exam?

After clearing the online tests of IBPS PO exam, candidates are called to participate in a Personal Interview with a panel of experts. This interview assess the overall suitability for the position of probationary officer, and include questions about their qualifications, work experience, and personal characteristics. After the Personal Interview a merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam and interview. Candidates who are placed in the merit list are eligible for appointment as a probationary officer in the participating banks.
