JTET Exam Pattern 2024: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has changed the exam pattern for the Jharkhand TET 2024 examination. The new and latest JTET 2024 exam pattern has been notified in the official notification as well as JTET Niyamavali. The JTET Exam Pattern helps candidates to know the structure of the question paper, subjects, marking scheme and exam duration. The Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) is conducted for two levels – Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Candidates need to appear for JTET Paper 1 if they wish to teach Classes 1 to 5. On the other hand, candidates need to appear for JTET Paper 2 if they want to teach Classes 6 to 8. The exam pattern for the JTET exam differs for both papers in terms of the number of subjects, number of questions and difficulty level. Here we have provided the latest Jharkhand TET exam pattern for Papers 1 and 2. Candidates must go through the JTET paper pattern below to prepare well for the JTET 2024 exam.

Q:   What is JTET Eligibility for Paper 2?

A:

Candidates need to meet any one of the given criteria to meet the JTET eligibility for Paper 2:

  • Graduate or equivalent and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Graduate or Postgraduate with at least 50 per cent marks and one-year Bachelor of Education (BEd)
  • Graduate or equivalent or Postgraduate with at least 45 per cent marks and one-year Bachelor of Education (BEd) obtained as per the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedures) Regulations issued from time to time
  • Higher Secondary or equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks and a four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (BElEd)
  • Higher Secondary or equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks and a four-year BA/ BScEd/ BAEd/ BScEd
  • Graduate or equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks and BEd (Special Education)
  • Postgraduate with at least 55 per cent marks or equivalent grade and a three-year integrated BEd-MEd

Q:   Who is eligible to appear for JTET Paper 1?

A:

Candidates who have passed +2 or higher secondary or equivalent exams and have any one of the following criteria are eligible to appear for JTET Paper 1: 

  • Two-year DEd in Special Education in any category of disability
  • One-year Diploma in Special Education (DSE) in any category of disability
  • Certificate/ Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation (DCBR) with a 6-month Certificate in Education of Children with Special Needs
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation (PGDCBR) with a 6-month Certificate in Education of Children with Special Needs
  • Diploma in Multi Rehabilitation Worker (MRW) with a 6-month Certificate Course in Education of Children with Special Needs
  • Junior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf
  • Primary level Teacher Training course in Visual Impairment
  • Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation-Mental Retardation (DVR-MR) or Diploma in Vocational Training and Employment-Mental Retardation (DVTE-MR) with a 6-month Certificate Course in Education of Children with Special Needs
  • Diploma in Hearing Language and Speech (DHLS) with a 6-month Certificate Course in Education of Children with Special Needs.

Q:   What is JTET exam date 2024?

A:

The JTET exam date 2024 has not been announced yet. The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will soon announce the exam date for the conduct of the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2024 examination. It may be noted here that the JTET exam 2024 will be organized after a gap of 8 years. The exam will be organised offline in pen and paper mode.

JTET Exam Pattern 2024 for Paper 1

The JTET Paper 1 Exam Pattern is divided into five sections. Each section contains 30 MCQs of 30 marks. The total duration of the exam is two hours and 30 minutes. Q:   What is the age limit for JTET exam?

A:

Candidates need to fulfull the JTET age limit to be eligible for the exam. The age limit for JTET exam differs for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Have a look at the age limit criteria below:

  • Paper 1: The minimum age limit is 18 years and there is no limit on the upper age of candidates.
  • Paper 2: The minimum age limit is 21 years and there is no limit on the upper age of candidates.

Q:   When will the JTET admit card be released?

A:

The Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) admit card will be released by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) a week before the examination. The JTET admit card comprises the important details of the exam like name and address of the exam centre, shift timing, exam time and date and more. Candidates can download the JTET admit card 2024 by logging into the registered accounts.

JTET Exam Pattern 2024 for Paper 2

The JTET Paper 2 Exam Pattern is divided into four sections. The first three sections of JTET Paper 2 contain 30 questions each and the fourth section contains 60 questions. In the fourth section, candidates have the choice to appear for either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies or Language Teacher or Other Teacher subject. Candidates need to complete the exam in two hours and 30 minutes.

Jharkhand TET Negative Marking 2024

The Jharkhand TET exam exam does not have any negative marking. According to JTET Marking Scheme, one mark is allotted for every correct answer and 0 marks for each incorrect answer. There is no negative marking in the JTET 2024 exam.
