NRA CET Syllabus 2024: The special committee formed for NRA CET recommended that NRA CET syllabus should be divided into two parts. Part A will carry topics and sub-topics from Basic Aptitude, Test of Reasoning, Verbal Ability, General Science and General Knowledge. Part B will carry topics that test the candidate’s psychology and response to certain situations, qualifying in nature, yet mandatory for final appointments. The detailed NRA CET syllabus will be released soon.

NRA CET syllabus is framed based on the different levels of Common Eligibility Test (CET)-graduates, Class 12 and Class 10 candidates. The Central Government has approved the setting up of the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) to conduct CET for various Non-Gazetted posts. NRA CET will be replacing the prelims/tier-1 exams of Group B and C posts, conducted by SSC, IBPS and RRB. Based on the CET score, final selection for recruirnent will be made through separate specialized tests/examinations, to be conducted by the respective agencies.

What is the NRA CET Syllabus?

The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is yet to release the detailed NRA CET syllabus. NRA CET syllabus will be framed in line with the existing SSCRRB and IBPS exams. The level of the NRA CET syllabus will be of graduation, Class 10 and Class 12 standards. Questions in NRA CET exam will be asked from four subjects-Basic Aptitude, Test of Reasoning, Verbal Ability, General Science and General Knowledge, etc.

Is NRA CET Syllabus Out?

NRA CET syllabus is not yet announced by the National Recruitment Agencies. Once the expert advisory committee gives its recommendation, NRA will announce the syllabus.

Q:   Will there be normalisation of marks in NRA CET exam?

A:

NRA CET scores will be calculated based on the normalisation process. As the exam will be conducted for Group B and C posts, the number of candidates are large and the exam will be conducted in multiple shifts. In such case, NRA CET score are normalised to adjust the difficulty level of the question paper.

Q:   What is the process after qualifying NRA CET?

A:

After qualifying NRA CET, you have to appear for the next stages of your respective recruitment exams conducted by your respective recruitment agencies such as SSC, RRB and IBPS. Through NRA CET candidates are screened/shortlisted for certain categories of posts in Central Government for which the recruitment is carried out through Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) and Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). On the basis of CET scores, candidates are considered for the further rounds of selection. The final selection is done through separate exams, to be conducted by the respective recruitment agencies.

Q:   What is NRA CET marking scheme?

A:

NRA CET question paper will be set in 12 language.  The question paper will be set as a multiple-choice questionnaire with objective questions. Each of the four sections will have 50 questions of 1 mark, each with a total of 200 marks for the entire paper with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
