SSC CPO 2024: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released SSC CPO 2024 exam dates for Paper 2. The exam will be conducted on March 8, 2025. Paper 2 exam is conducted for the qualified candidates of PET/PST. The PET/PST result will be announced soon. Based on the Paper 1 result, a total of 7335 female candidates and 76278 male candidates qualified for PET/PST. The PET/PST was conducted from October 14, 2024.

SSC CPO result 2024 for Tier 1 was released on September 2, 2024. The Tier 1 exam of SSC CPO was conducted on June 27, 28 & 29, 2024. SSC CPO 2024 notification was released to fill up a total of 4,187 vacancies. SSC CPO application form 2024 was available from March 4 to 28, 2024. SSC CPO Dates 2025

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announced SSC CPO dates 2025. The notification will be released on May 16, 2025. SSC CPO application form 2025 will be available from May 16 to June 14, 2025. The exam will be conducted in July-August 2025.

Sub Inspector in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)

Sub Inspector in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)

Sub Inspector in Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)

Q:   What is the age limit for SSC CPO?

A:

Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria for SSC CPO 2024 exam:

Nationality

  • Other than the Indian nationals, the following candidates can apply
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan having a certificate in the favour of their category issued by the Indian Government
  • Candidates, in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary are admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment is given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to them by the Government of India

Age Limit The age of candidates should be between 20 and 25 years. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2004 to be eligible to apply. Relaxation in the upper age limit of five years is provided to SC/ST candidates and three years to OBC and Ex-Servicemen categories.

Educational Qualification: Any graduate candidate can apply for the SSC SI exam.

Q:   What is the training period for SSC CPO?

A:

The training syllabi for induction courses are confined to training institutions. The duration of training is usually of six to nine months. Indoor training involves imparting knowledge on various subjects under the law, police science, police rules, practical work, criminology, cybercrime and terrorism, human behavior, etc. The outdoor module trains the officers in several fields- physical exercise and drills, vehicle driving, handling of arms and weapons, and practice firing. Special emphasis is given to fitness and unarmed combat. Candidates selected through SSC CPO exam are appointed to the post of Sub Inspector with either the Delhi Police, the CAPF or as Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF. The CAPF is a Paramilitary force also known as the Central Armed Police Forces. It is not directly a wing of the Military and it comes under the Home Ministry.

Q:   What to do if I face issue in one-time registration?

A:

Check size and format of photograph and signature files. Scanned colour passport size photograph should be in JPEG format and file size of the photograph should be in the range of 20 KB to 50 KB. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Similarly, scanned signature file should be in JPEG format having file size ranging from 10 KB to 20 KB. Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height). The image of the signature should occupy at least 75% of the frame. The size of the photograph and signature should be as per the dimensions given by candidates.

Q:   What are SSC CPO application fees?

A:

SSC CPO application fee is INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. All female candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe, Persons with benchmark Disabilities (Divyangjans) and ExServicemen candidates eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. After filling the online application form, candidates can pay the fees online only through net banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards. Earlier, candidates could pay their application fees through challan. However, the process of fee payment through challan has been discontinued by SSC. The application fees once paid by candidates will not be refunded. After fee payment, candidates should take the printout of the fee transaction receipt.

You may check the ‘Spam’ folder in your e-mail. If email is not received even in the Spam folder, it is likely that you have entered wrong email-id. After one-time registration, the registration ID and password are generated. With the generated registration ID, candidates can fill the application form. The application form comprises several stages which candidates need to complete successfully inorder to apply for the exam. SSC CPO Exam Pattern

SSC CPO Paper 1 and 2 are conducted in computer-based mode. Paper 1 comprises questions spread over four sections. The duration of the test is two hours as per SSC  CPO exam pattern. The total marks of the test are 200. PET/PST is conducted for the qualified candidates of Paper 1. This stage is qualifying in nature but it is mandatory to appear for the exam. Paper 2 is conducted for the qualified candidates of PET/PST. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. For DME, candidates are called on the basis of their performance in Papers 1 and 2. Candidates qualifying the DME are called for document verification.

Q:   What is the training period for SSC CPO?

A:

The training syllabi for induction courses are confined to training institutions. The duration of training is usually of six to nine months. Indoor training involves imparting knowledge on various subjects under the law, police science, police rules, practical work, criminology, cybercrime and terrorism, human behavior, etc. The outdoor module trains the officers in several fields- physical exercise and drills, vehicle driving, handling of arms and weapons, and practice firing. Special emphasis is given to fitness and unarmed combat. Candidates selected through SSC CPO exam are appointed to the post of Sub Inspector with either the Delhi Police, the CAPF or as Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF. The CAPF is a Paramilitary force also known as the Central Armed Police Forces. It is not directly a wing of the Military and it comes under the Home Ministry.
