SSC CPO exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) every year to recruit candidates for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police and Sub Inspector in CAPFs. The normalisation of SSC CPO marks is done since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts in order to take into account any variation in the difficulty levels of question papers across different shifts. Calculation of marks is done up to five decimal places. The normalisation of marks is done by the examination authority inorder to adjust the difficulty level of the question paper. After downloading the admit card, candidates should check whether all the details printed on the admit card are correct. Check size and format of photograph and signature files. Scanned colour passport size photograph should be in JPEG format and file size of the photograph should be in the range of 20 KB to 50 KB. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Similarly, scanned signature file should be in JPEG format having file size ranging from 10 KB to 20 KB. Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height). The image of the signature should occupy at least 75% of the frame. The size of the photograph and signature should be as per the dimensions given by candidates.

SSC CPO application form 2024 was released on March 4. The application form was available from March 4 to 28, 2024. Candidates could submit the application fees till March 28, 2024. The offline payment of application fees could be done till March 29, 2024. Candidates can correct the details entered in the application form within the prescribed deadline.

SSC CPO application fee is INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. All female candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe, Persons with benchmark Disabilities (Divyangjans) and ExServicemen candidates eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. After filling the online application form, candidates can pay the fees online only through net banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards. Earlier, candidates could pay their application fees through challan. However, the process of fee payment through challan has been discontinued by SSC. The application fees once paid by candidates will not be refunded. After fee payment, candidates should take the printout of the fee transaction receipt.

SSC CPO exam pattern is such that it comprises Paper-I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II, and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Questions in Paper 1 and 2 are objective types. The Paper 1 exam comprises questions from four sections, while Paper 2 consists of one section. The duration of both papers is two hours.
