SSC CPO Application Form 2024: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released SSC CPO 2024 application form status for PET/PST. To check the application status, candidates need to enter the required credentials. Through SSC CPO application form status, candidates can check whether their application form has been accepted or rejected for SSC CPO 2024 exam.
SSC CPO application form 2024 was available from March 4 to 28, 2024. Candidates could pay the application fees online till March 28, 2024. The fee could be paid offline till March 29, 2024. SSC CPO 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 9, 10 and 13, 2024. The application fee for the exam was INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. However, SC, ST, women and ESM candidates were exempted from fee payment. Any graduate candidate between 20 and 25 years could apply for the exam. SSC CPO 2024 dates were announced by SSC. Q: What are SSC CPO application fees?
SSC CPO application fee is INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. All female candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe, Persons with benchmark Disabilities (Divyangjans) and ExServicemen candidates eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. After filling the online application form, candidates can pay the fees online only through net banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards. Earlier, candidates could pay their application fees through challan. However, the process of fee payment through challan has been discontinued by SSC. The application fees once paid by candidates will not be refunded. After fee payment, candidates should take the printout of the fee transaction receipt.
Q: I did not receive registration number and password on the email. What to do?
You may check the ‘Spam’ folder in your e-mail. If email is not received even in the Spam folder, it is likely that you have entered wrong email-id. You may contact Helpline of the concerned Regional Office through a call or email. It is important to complete the one-time registration process before filling the application form. After one-time registration, the registration ID and password are generated. With the generated registration ID, candidates can fill the application form. The application form comprises several stages which candidates need to complete successfully inorder to apply for the exam. It is also important to upload the photograph and signature as per the dimension provided by the examination authority.
Q: I am unable to upload my photo and signature while applying for SSC CPO one-time registration. What to do?
Check size and format of photograph and signature files. Scanned colour passport size photograph should be in JPEG format and file size of the photograph should be in the range of 20 KB to 50 KB. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Similarly, scanned signature file should be in JPEG format having file size ranging from 10 KB to 20 KB. Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height). The image of the signature should occupy at least 75% of the frame. The size of the photograph and signature should be as per the dimensions given by candidates.

How to fill SSC CPO application form?
Candidates follow the steps below to fill the application form of SSC CPO:
Part I: One-Time Registration
Visit the official website of SSC
Read the instructions carefully before registering for the exam
Candidates who are already registered with SSC are not required to register again
They can use their generated registration number and password for filling the application form directly
For the one-time registration, click on ‘Register Now’ link
For one-time registration process, candidates need to fill the following details:
Basic Details
- Few critical details such as Aadhaar Number, name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth etc are required to be entered twice
- Provide information about Aadhaar Number/Aadhaar Enrollment Number/ Identity Card and its number
- Candidates need to fill their name, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth as given in the Class 10 certificate
- Fill Class 10 exam details such as name of education board, roll number and year of passing
- Enter gender, educational qualification, mobile number and email ID
- Once the basic details are saved, candidates need to confirm their mobile number and email ID
- Upon confirmation, registration ID and password will be provided to candidates on their mobile number and email ID
- Proceed to fill the ‘Additional Details’
Additional Details
Fill in the details such as category, nationality, Identification Mark, information about disabilities if any. Save the information and proceed further to provide contact details.
Contact Details
Candidates must provide information about permanent and present address. Save the data and proceed further to last part of the registration process.
Photo Signature and LTI
Upload your recent photo, signature, disability certificate if any, Aadhaar Number or Aadhaar Enrolment Number. If you do not have Aadhaar Number or Aadhaar Enrolment Number, then upload the scanned impression of Left Hand Thumb. In case a candidate does not have left hand thumb, impression of right hand thumb or Left great toe or right great toe may be used in that order.
The specifications for uploading these documents are given below:
- The colour passport size photograph should be in JPEG format in between 20KB to 50KB
- Scanned signature should in JPEG format and between 10KB to 20KB
- The Left Thumb Impression should be in JPEG format between 10KB to 30KB
- The Disability Certificate should be in JPEG/PDF format in between 20KB to 50KB
Save the information provided. Candidates have the facility to take draft printout
Send the draft information to your registered email ID
Review the information provided thoroughly, before final submit
Upon clicking final submit, different OTPs will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID
Candidates need to enter the respective OTPs to complete the registration process
After submission of basic information, if the registration process is not completed within seven days, the data will be deleted from the system
After completion of registration process, basic details can be changed only once

Part II: Online Application Form
- Login to online system through registered email ID and password
- Click the ‘SSC CPO Apply link' under the latest notifications tab
- Information filled during the one-time registration will be auto-filled and is non-editable
- Give preferences for SSC CPO exam centres. Candidates can choose the examination centres within the same region. They can choose three centers in order of preference.
- If you are ex-serviceman, fill up the required information. Wards of servicemen/ex-servicemen are not treated as ex-servicemen.
- If you are seeking age relaxation, select appropriate age-relaxation category
- Select your Domicile State/UT and District
- Candidates need to give their preferences
- Indicate the highest qualification
- Information regarding photo, signature, biometric impression will be filled up automatically from the One-Time Registration Data
- Complete the declaration by clicking ‘I Agree’ check box, fill up captcha code
- Preview and verify the information and submit the application
- If candidates are not exempted from fee payment, they need to pay the same through online mode
- Take printout of SSC CPO application form
- Candidates are not required to submit the hard copy of the application form

Q: Is registration mandatory for applying to SSC CPO exam?
Yes. Registration is mandatory for applying to SSC CPO exam. Before filling SSC CPO application form, candidates need to complete the one-time registration. On completion of one time registration, candidates can apply online for any examination of the Commission. One-time registration forms a permanent database for candidates. The unique registration ID and password can be used by candidates for all the examination. This facility is available for candidates throughout the year. The process for one-time registration is given below:
- In the home page of ssc.nic.in click on ‘Apply’ tab then select ‘Apply Link-1’ Or you can directly go to site ssconline.nic.in
- On clicking ‘Registration’ the one-time registration page opens
- Candidates need to fill up the specific inputs-candidate’s name, father’s name, date of birth, gender and the text
- Select enter to proceed further or click on the ‘Close’ button to move out of the page
- Enter personal details, basic details and contact details
- Enter all required fields and then click ‘submit’ button
- Get the provisional Registration Id and Password and upload the photograph and signature
Q: Is there any facility to edit the SSC CPO application form?
If candidates find that there are mistake while entering details in the registration part, they has the option to edit the registration part. To do this, candidates are required to login and use the option 'view/edit registration' by filling in date of birth, registration number and password. Once candidates has utilised the opportunity to correct/edit twice, they are not able to view the details filled by them. Candidates are advised to exerecise due care while filling in the details in the application form and making corrections. SSC CPO registration form can be filled online only.
SSC CPO Application Form Correction 2024
After the closing date for receipt of online applications, the Commission provide one day to candidates to correct/ modify online application data. Candidates are allowed to resubmit applications after making requisite corrections/changes in the one-time registration/ online application data as per their requirements. Candidates are allowed to correct and re-submit the modified/corrected application two times during the 'Window for Application Form Correction’. If candidates make mistake in their updated application also, they will be allowed to re-submit one more modified/corrected application after making requisite corrections/modifications. No more corrections in the application form will be allowed under any circumstances.
Only those candidates will be allowed to make corrections in the application form, whose completed online applications along-with payment of requisite fee, have been received by the Commission within the specified period. Latest modified application will be treated as the valid one and the previous applications submitted by such candidates will be cancelled. Requests received in this regard in any form like Post, Fax, Email, by hand, etc. shall not be entertained by the Commission and will be summarily rejected
Fee for Making Application Form Correction
Candidates need to pay uniform correction charges of INR 200 for making changes and re-submitting modified/corrected applications for the first time. For the second time, candidates need to pay INR 500 for making correction and re-submitting modified/ corrected application. The correction charges will be applicable to all candidates irrespective of their gender/ category. The correction charges can be paid only by online mode through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards .The correction charges once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor will it be adjusted against any other examination or selection.

- The digital size of the file of the photographs must be more than 4 kb and less than 12 kb with resolution of 100 pixel width and 120 pixel height
- The signature must be uploaded in jpg format. The digital size of the signature file must be more than 1 kb and less than 12 kb with resolution of 40 pixel width by 60 pixel height

Q: What is SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria?
SSC CPO eligibility criteria are certain parameters which candidates need to fulfill inorder to apply for the exam. The eligibility criteria comprises several parameters such as age, nationality and educational qualification. SSC CPO eligibility criteria is given below:
Nationality:
- Other than the Indian nationals, the following candidates can apply
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan having a certificate in the favour of their category issued by the Indian Government
- Candidates, in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary are admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment is given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to them by the Government of India

Educational Qualification: Any graduate candidate can apply for the SSC CPO exam.

Candidates have the facility to edit SSC CPO application form. To edit the application form, candidates need to login using registration number and password. Candidates need to then click on ‘Modify Registration’ tab and make necessary changes. Candidates should take care while editing the entries in the basic details part. SSC provide the facility to edit the details in the registration part only once. After this, candidates are not allowed to make changes in the application form. SSC CPO application form needs to be filled online. The application form comprises two parts-One-Time Registration and Filling the Application Form. After completing the one-time registration, registration ID and password are generated.
Q: How to get Registration number and Password for SSC CPO exam, if a candidate forgets it?
If candidates forget the registration number and password given to them for SSC CPO exam, they can retrieve it by clicking the ‘Forgot Password’ link. After clicking the link, they will be redirected to the page where they can change their password and registration number. To change the password and registration number, candidates need to enter certain details. On verification through email or mobile OTP, the registered email ID and registration number would be displayed on the screen. Candidates will be prompted to change the password. Candidates can set the new password and keep it safely for future use. Candidates will require the password and registration number to download the admit card, checking the application status, downloading scorecard, etc.
Q: I am doing one-time registration for the first time for SSC CPO exam but I am getting the message user already exists. What to do?
Candidates should check the matriculation certificate. If roll number code is also given in addition to roll number then in the registration form, candidates should enter roll number in the following format:
“Roll Code”-“Roll No”. For example, if the Roll Code given in the Matriculation Certificate is 12345 and Roll No is 1234567, then candidates have to enter Roll No in column as 12345-1234567.
Q: What to do if SSC CPO application status is showing incomplete after making online payment?
If the SSC CPO application form status is showing incomplete after making one payment, it means that fee is not received by the Commission from the Bank. Status of fee payment can be verified at the ‘Payment Status’ or ‘Double Verification of Payment’ links provided in the candidate’s login screen. Candidates can wait for two to three days and re-check. In case, payment status is still incomplete, they can check their bank accounts for refund of fee amount. Candidates can contact the bank or may make the fee payment again. After successful fee payment, candidates should take the printout of the fee transaction receipt. Candidates will require the fee transaction receipt for any communication with SSC to raise any query related to the application process.
