SSC Stenographer 2024: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) activated the link to check the test cities. SSC Stenographer admit card 2024 will be released soon. SSC Stenographer exam dates 2024 have been announced. The exam will be conducted on December 10 and 11, 2024. SSC Stenographer application correction was available from August 27 to 28, 2024.

SSC Stenographer 2024 notification was released on July 26, 2024. The last date to fill the application form was August 24, 2024. A total of 2006 vacancies were announced for the exam.

SSC conducts an open competitive computer-based exam for recruitment to the posts of SSC Stenographer Grade C (Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade D (Group C) for various ministries/departments/organizations in the government of India. Candidates who have skills in Stenography are eligible to apply. SSC Stenographer vacancies will be released in due course.

Release of application form: SSC Stenographer application form is released online. The application fee is INR 100, Women and Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with disability (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) candidates are exempted from fee payment.

Issue of admit card: SSC Stenographer admit card is released online on the respective regional websites of the commission. Candidates can access their admit cards by logging with registration ID/roll number/candidate’s name and password. 

Computer-Based Test: This is the first stage of SSC Stenographer Grade C & D. The computer-based test is conducted for all candidates who successfully register for the exam. The exam comprises three sections, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension. The total marks for the test are 200.

Declaration of result: SSC Stenographer result is declared online for different stages of exams. The result is made available in PDF format. It displays the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Along with the result, SSC Stenographer cut off marks for various posts and categories are also released. 

Skill Test in Stenography: This stage is conducted for the shortlisted candidates of the computer-based test. Candidates are given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi. Candidates need to type the dictation at the speed of 100 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m for the post of Grade D.

SSC Stenographer application form can be filled in two parts: Part-I (One-Time Registration) and Part-II (Filling the application form). The application fees of SSC Stenographer are INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. SC, ST, women, and ESM candidates are exempted from fee payment.

Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
