TNPSC Group 2 exam preparation needs a focused effort of more than six months. The candidates need to prepare the right strategy to clear the exam. The TNPSC Group 2 question papers will be very helpful in preparing for the exam. The candidates must break their preparation into short-term goals and plan their preparation accordingly. TNPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern

TNPSC Group 2 Preparation Strategy

The candidates should read the TNPSC Group 2 syllabus multiple times to understand and analyse the syllabus deeply. First thing is to make a plan to cover the full syllabus in the stipulated time (around 9 months). The candidates require around three months to prepare for the TNPSC Group 2 Prelims exam. Though Prelims is a screening test only, most of the candidates could not qualify at this stage only.

The candidates should make a plan based on their weak and strong areas and proceed accordingly. The day can be divided into three parts. The candidates can use these three parts as per their preference for learning and revising.

Revision is a very important part of the preparation and hence the candidates must give appropriate time to revision. Revision is essential and no one can escape this part in their preparation strategy.

How to prepare General Science for TNPSC Group 2?

The candidates should refer to the NCERT books for the majority of the sections of the TNPSC Group 2 syllabus. The NCERT books will help in building the power of reasoning as required in the exam. The candidates should also read the textbooks released by the State Education Board of Tamil Nadu for state-specific historical and geographical facts and figures. The candidates should always refer to the standard books for the fundamental concepts and not go for shortcuts at the initial stage of preparation. Candidates can later make their shortcuts after preparing the syllabus.

The candidates can refer to the book list suggested by the IAS toppers and mentors. The syllabus is very similar to the IAS Syllabus. The candidates must do three reading of each of the book to prepare the topic and answer the twisted questions.

The Current Events is the most important section of the TNPSC Group 2 syllabus. Current affairs influence all the other sections of the syllabus. The Current Affairs syllabus is the broadest of them all and it increased with each of the passing days.
