WBTET Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Paper 1: Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)
The applicants must fulfill the following minimum eligibility conditions as prescribed by NCTE from time to time to be eligible to appear for the WB TET exam:
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50 per cent marks and 2-year diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd)
Or
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50 per cent marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEIEd)
Or
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50 per cent marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
Or
- Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd)
