Q:   What is the marking scheme of the KTET exam?

A: 

The marking scheme of KTET exam is as follows: - The KTET 2024 exam consists of multiple-choice questions, where each question carries one mark. - There is no negative marking for incorrect answers, which means that candidates do not lose marks for wrong answers. - The KTET exam has a total of 150 questions, and the maximum marks that can be scored are 150.

To qualify the KTET 2024 exam, candidates need to score a minimum of 60 per cent marks, which means that they need to score at least 90 marks out of 150. However, the content of the papers is different, and candidates need to appear for the paper that is relevant to their desired teaching level.

The West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) conducts the paper 1 exam to test the eligibility of teachers to teach in the classes between Classes 1 to 6. The WBTET paper 1 syllabus is given below:

Q:   Is there any negative marking in the WBTET exam?

A: 

There is no negative marking in the WBTET (West Bengal Teacher Eigibility Test) exam. The exam consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers, which means that candidates are not penalised for guessing the answer or attempting a question. WBTET exam pattern

WBTET is a Teacher Eligibility Test to qualify as a Govt. Primary and Upper Primary School Teacher. The candidates qualified in Papers 1 and 2 are recruited as a teacher to teach classes from 1 to 5 and 6 to 8 respectively. The candidate who qualifies for both papers is eligible to take classes from 1 to 8. Duration for each paper is 2 ½ hours in which a candidate has to solve 150 MCQs.

Q:   Will I get recruited as a Government school teacher after qualifying for the WBTET exam?

A: 

No, qualifying the West Bengal Teaching Eligibility Test (WBTET) does not ensure job as a Government school teacher. WBTET is only a eligibility exam that verifies that the candidates qualifying for the exam is eligible to teach in schools. To get recruited as a teacher in West Bengal Government schools, the WBTET qualified candidates have to appear for the teacher's recruitment exam conducted by the State Government.

Q:   What is the minimum marks to qualify for the WBTET exam?

A: 

To qualify the WBTET (West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test), candidates are required to achieve the minimum qualifying marks set by the conducting authority. Here are the qualifying criteria for WBTET:

For General Category Candidates:

Minimum 60 per cent marks are required to qualify the WBTET examination. 

For Reserved Category Candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PH):

There is a relaxation of 5 per cent for reserved category candidates, so they need to score a minimum of 55 per cent marks to qualify the WBTET examination.

It's important to note that qualifying the WBTET exam does not guarantee a job. It is a mandatory eligibility criterion for candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary and upper primary schools in the state of West Bengal.
