NIRF 2024 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2024 rankings, IIM Calcutta ranks #5 under the category 'Management'.

The CAT 2024 answer key has been released for IIM Calcutta admission to the MBA/PGDM courses. Candidates can download the answer key by using their login credentials on the official website. The CAT 2024 result is expected to be released by Dec 20, 2024.

IIM Calcutta Highlights 2025

In collaboration with the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management (MIT), The Ford Foundation and Indian industry, and the Government of West Bengal, IIM Calcutta was established in 1961. Recently, QS 2025 ranked IIM Calcutta 48 under the World University Rankings - Masters In Management category and 61-70 under the World University Rankings - Masters In Business Analytics. The college is ranked 5th by NIRF 2024 under the Management category, 1st by Business Today 2023 for MBA, and 3rd by Outlook under the MBA (Government) category. No, IIM Calcutta admission to most of the courses is entrance-based. The application process of IIM Calcutta for PG courses takes place via CAT. For admission to a PhD/DPM course in IIM Kolkata, aspirant must meet the eligibility criteria. Only eligible candidates can fill out the admission form. Find below the eligibility requirements for the programme:

First Class master's or postgraduate Diploma degree in any stream and a three-year bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate, OR
CA with a minimum of 50% aggregate or CS/ CMA with a minimum of 55% aggregate along with a BCom degree, OR
BTech degree of four years duration with 6.5 CGPA or equivalent, OR
Non-engineering candidates, who have undergone 10+2+5 years, are also eligible to apply for the doctoral programme
In addition, applicants must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate either at SSC/HSC-level
A final-year student appearing for the Bachelor's degree examination in Engineering or Master's degree examination in any discipline can also apply. Such a candidate, if selected, will be provisionally admitted provided he completes all requirements for obtaining the degree before June 30, of the admission year. Admission of the candidate will remain provisional until the candidate produces mark sheets proving that he satisfies the eligibility criteria. The deadline for submitting the final year degree mark sheets is December 31 of the admission year.

The modes of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta course admissions are online and offline. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores.
