Delhi University planning to make DUET 2020 admission process online

The University of Delhi is planning to make the entire DUET 2020 admission process online for the safety of students. 

The Delhi University is planning to make the 2020 Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) completely online this session. The major change comes in the wake of the global pandemic known as COVID-19 (Coronavirus). With Prime Minister Narendra Modi announcing a lockdown for 21 days from March 24, 2020, the entire country is indoors and are not allowed to be out.

DU conducts the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) in order to offer students admission in various undergraduate, postgraduate, research, doctoral, diploma, PG diploma and certificate courses which are offered by the renowned university.

The application process for DUET 2020 will begin from April 2, 2020 onwards. The DUET 2020 exams will be conducted from June 2 to June 9, 2020. There is a long way before a decision can be made to postpone the entrance exam, but Delhi University is planning on making the entire admission process online. .

According to Shiksha, a source said that the admission process will be a relief for students and parents who are travelling from different places in India. To make the entire admission process online, students and parents will not be required to run around to complete the formalities.

However, the proposal is yet to be approved.

What is DUET?

The Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) conducts the national-level entrance test in order to grant admission to students from all over the country and abroad into the diverse and wide range of programmes which are offered at the university. While students get admission if they meet the cut-offs, for some entrance exams, students need to appear for the entrance test. Here is the schedule for DUET 2020.
