TISS Mumbai Admission 2021: Diploma, PGD, E-PGD, Certificate & Short-Term Courses

Admission for all diploma, certificate, PG diploma, Executive PG diploma and short-term courses is subject to an interview conducted by the institute. For a PG diploma and two EPG diploma and programmes, however, the admission process is as follows:

  • PG Diploma in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene: Written Test and PI
  • Executive PG Diploma in Organisation Development and Change (EPGDODC): Written Test and PI
  • Executive PG Diploma in HRM: Those satisfying the eligibility requirements will be called for the Written Test and Personal Interview.

- Age: At least 25 years and above

- A pass in Class 12

- Preference is given to those who are working in Social Work organisations and have two years of work experience

- All NGO personnel involved with geriatric services in fields such as Health, Mental Health And Education; administrators of human service organisations and corporate sector personnel

This course invites those from Medical, Legal and Financial backgrounds who wish to address issues of the elderly and to audit specific subjects in particular

Consideration will be given to candidates in the age group 55+

- Candidates with demonstrated interest in working with people in disaster situation for a minimum of one year would be preferred

the area of disasters would be given special preference

International Certificate in Professional and Personal Leadership Programme

- The minimum eligibility to apply is 45% of marks (35% for SC/ ST/ OBC) or a PG degree

PG Diploma in Healthcare Management

- A UG degree in any discipline (Arts, Science, Commerce, etc.) or a Medical degree (Allopethic, Ayurvedic, Homeopathy, Dentistry, etc.)/ BSc Nursing/ Post BSc Nursing/ Paramedical and allied Health courses, such as Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, etc.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Hospital/ Public Health Facilities areas at managerial or supervisory position

PG Diploma in Special Education

Application fee: 500

20 + 05 additional seats for parents of children with special needs

A UG degree in any discipline, a minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 course pattern of study fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognized University. Preference will be given to those with work experience in clinical, social and developmental settings.

Parents of children with special needs: Five seats are available for parents of children with special needs who can apply for this programme.

* The PG  Diploma in Digital Library & Information Management (PGDLIM) at TISS is offered via Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode. Applications started for this course in June and the last date to apply is July 31.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai, does not offer an MBA program. However, they do have a Executive Postgraduate Diploma (EPGD) programme which is similar to MBA in terms of curriculum with 44 credit hours, 16 papers with 2 credit hours for each paper and 1 credit hours for 4 papers .

Yes, you can apply with your CUET-PG score for the Human Resource Management course at TISS. Starting in 2024, TISS would also give an admissions opportunity in their postgraduate courses, such as HRM, with CUET-PG scores.
