My journey at SJc for 3 years- as the college grows towards becoming a university we grow along with
Placements: I did a degree in a triple major (EJP). In terms of my core subjects there was only about one or two jobs available from the placements office. There were about two or three companies that allowed B.A. Students to sit for placements for their company like McKinsey and Company and Griddle but these jobs had no relation to my subjects. Since this was the first batch of the commerce B.Com to graduate the placements were not as many as colleges like SJCC because most companies think this is only an arts and Science college. Science students are allowed to sit for more placements as big companies like Target, Microsoft etc. As well as smaller companies come just for them. If you are a student of arts or commerce the overall placements experience would be a little dissatisfying but I would say if you are a Science student you should be relatively pleased.
Infrastructure: The college has a decent infrastructure at the time being but they are building a new block and I'm sure it will be able to make student life more comforting and fun. They also have a new sports complex that was opened this year which is very impressive.
Faculty: With my subjects being English, Journalism and Psychology, I was under two departments - the English department and the Psychology department. The English department has some of the best teachers I have ever come across over my years of being a student. They become your family by the end of three years and teach you things you need for life and not just things in relation to your curriculum. They are simply brilliant. The psychology department is relatively new that is it has been around for about 5 years and have had many teachers join and leave over the past year. For now they have a decent set of teachers and do a pretty good job at getting the syllabus done on time.
Other: We have a number of events hosted by different associations and departments of the college throughout the year. The college has some rules regarding discipline, dress code and punctuality. We have two major fests held by the student council- intra and inter college. There is the elections and ethnic day as well. The extracurricular activities include sports like hockey, football and basketball. There is also dance teams and choirs. The campus is a nice place to be at. It's not too spread out and big and mostly has a relaxed atmosphere.

Otherwise, your admission in the college will not be valid and would be canceled. For more information
