APLAWCET/ AP PGLCET Eligibility Criteria 2025 - The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) conducts AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET for admission to 5-year and 3-year LLB courses and LLM courses, respectively. These exams are held once a year. Candidates applying for AP LAWCET or AP PGLCET must meet the eligibility criteria for their respective exams. The eligibility criteria outline the minimum requirements related to educational qualifications, age limits for applying to these exams, and category-wise minimum marks required in the qualifying exam.

The eligibility criteria for the AP LAWCET 2025 exam are primarily based on the qualifications and marks obtained by candidates in their qualifying exams. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category need 40% marks in their intermediate exam to take the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET exam 2025 for admission to the integrated LLB programme. However, candidates belonging to backward classes (BC) require a minimum of 42% marks in their Class 12 to take the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2025.

 

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for APLAWCET?

A:

The eligibility criteria for APLAWCET 2025 are as follows:

Nationality: Indian citizen

Age: Minimum 17 years at the time of admission

Educational qualification:

  • For 5-year LL.B: 10+2 passed examination or equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate from a recognised board 
  • For 3-year LL.B: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university with 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent

Domicile: 

Candidates must be a local candidate or non-local candidate as per the rules of the Andhra Pradesh government. The APLAWCET exam is conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for admission to the five-year and three-year LL.B. programs in the state. The exam is a computer-based test and is held in multiple cities across the state.

The syllabus for the exam covers topics such as General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, and English Language. The APLAWCET exam is a competitive exam, and the cut-offs are usually high. Candidates are advised to start preparing for the exam well in advance.

  • Candidates must be Indian citizens.
  • Candidates must have passed their two-year intermediate examination in a (10+2) education format from any board/institution recognised by a state board or national boards of education.
  • They must have passed (10+2) with a minimum of 45%.
  • Candidates from the SC/ST category must have a 40% score in their (10+2) exams to take the AP LAWCET 2025.

AP PGLCET Eligibility Criteria 2025

AP PGLCET eligibility criteria describe the qualifications and marks that candidates need to take the AP PGLCET exam 2025 for admission to the LLM courses. Candidates belonging to different categories need different marks to appear in the AP PGLCET. However, the qualification requirements for candidates belonging to all categories are the same.

APPGLCET Eligibility Criteria 2025 for LLM

Candidates seeking admission to the LLM course through the AP PGLCET can check the AP PGLCET eligibility criteria 2025 below: 

  • Candidates must have a graduate degree in law. 
  • They must have one of the two undergraduate law degrees: 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB. 
  • Candidates pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LLB can also apply for AP PGLCET 2025. However, they have passed their graduation at the time of AP PGLCET counselling .

AP LAWCET/ APPGLCET Category-wise Eligibility Criteria 2025

A:
ELIGIBILITY FOR Andhra Pradesh LAWCET2020 : 3 year LL.B. Course: The Candidates for 3 year LL.B. Should have passed any Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognised University with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognised as equivalent by the Universities concerned. If any candidate secured less than 45% in graduation he should have passed any additional graduate or postgraduate degree with 45% aggregate marks. So the candidates who obtained Bachelor degree without passing the 10th and 12th are not eligible for Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2020 entrance exam.

Candidates also need to consider the following important points related to APLAWCET/ AP PGLCET eligibility criteria in 2025: 

  • Candidates from the SC/ST categories and other reserved classes who do not belong to Andhra Pradesh will be considered among all India open-category candidates (OC candidates). 
  • Students with ITI as their basic qualification are not allowed to apply for AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET.
  • All applicants should be of Indian domicile to be eligible for APLAWCET 2025 and APPGLCET 2025.
  • Candidates who completed their schooling in an open school education system are not eligible for the APLAWCET and APPGLCET.
