Telangana Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) is conducted by Omsmania University on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) to provide admission to aspiring students in 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes offered at Telangana universities and their affiliated colleges. TSCHE also conducts TS PGLCET for admission to the LLM course.

Q:   When will TS LAWCET 2025 registration start?

A:

The TS LAWCET 2024 registration will tentatively start in March 2025, on the official TS LAWCET 2025 portal, lawcet.tsche.ac.in. The registration for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB through TS PGLCET 2025 will also start on the same date. The registration cum application form for TS LAWCET 2025 will only be made available online. Candidates need to note that the TS LAWCET 2025 exam date for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses will be notified here after the release of the TS LAWCET 2025 notification. The exam will be conducted online at test centres allotted to candidates.  

Q:   How can I fill out the TS LAWCET application form?

A:

Candidates can use the following steps to fill out the TS LAWCET application form: 

  1. Official Website: Wait for the March 1st release of the application form on the official TS LAWCET website: lawcet.tsche.ac.in.
  2. Registration: Click "Apply Online" and register with your email and mobile number.
  3. Personal Details: Fill in your personal details accurately, including name, address, date of birth, etc.
  4. Academic Details: Enter details of your qualifying examination, marks, and other relevant academic information.
  5. Category Selection: Select your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.)
  6. Exam Center Preference: Choose your preferred exam center (if offered).
  7. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of required documents as per the specified format and size.
  8. Fee Payment: Proceed to pay the application fee using your chosen method.
  9. Review and Submit: Carefully review all entered information and submit the application form.

Q:   What is the last date to fill out the TS LAWCET 2025 registration?

A:

The last date for the TS LAWCET 2025 registration for the 5-year LLB course and the 3-year LLB course will be the same. The last date to fill out the TS LAWCET 2025 registration form without a late fee has not been announced yet. It is expected that the TS LAWCET 2025 registration for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses will remain open by the second week of April 2025, Candidates will be able to fill out the registration form at lawcet.tsche.ac.in.

Once the TS LAWCET 2025 registration process with a late fee is over, candidates were provided with four more chances to register with late fees of INR 500, INR 1000, INR 2000 and INR 4000, respectively. The application deadlines for late fees have not been announced yet for TS LAWCET 2025. Candidates can refer to the following tables to check the last date for TS LAWCET 2025 registration with and without late fees:

How to Fill Out TS LAWCET/PGLCET 2025 Application Form? 

To fill out the application form for TS LAWCET or TS PGLCET, candidates will have to first visit the LAWCET TSCHE website, lawcet.tsche.ac.in, then follow two main steps: 1) Application Fee Payment; and 2) Filling Out the Application Form. These steps in detail have been mentioned below: 

Q:   Do I need to send a printout of the TS LAWCET 2025 application form to exam officials by post?

A:

No, there is no need to send the application form by post once it is submitted online.

Q:   What mode can use to fill the TS LAWCET application form 2025?

A:

The application form can be filled in online mode only. There is no provision to submit the application in offline mode. Candidates must note that they have to fill it online, and no speed post or any other offline mode of submission of application form will be allowed.

Q:   When will the TS LAWCET 2025 application correction window be opened?

A:

The TS LAWCET application correction window 2025 will tentatively open in the fourth week of May 2025, at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. The application window will remain open for around a week during which candidates can make correction in the details which they mistakenly fill wrong. These details will be the following:

Q:   Which documents do I need to fill out the TS LAWCET application form?

A:

You need scans of the following documents to upload during the TS LAWCT application process:

Mandatory Documents:

  • Recent Passport-sized Photograph: Scanned copy in JPEG format, 20KB to 50KB size.
  • Hall Ticket/Marksheet of Qualifying Examination: Scanned copy in PDF format, 50KB to 200KB size.
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable): the latest caste certificate issued by the MRO/Competent Authority in PDF format, 50KB to 200KB size.
  • Disability Certificate (if applicable): the latest disability certificate issued by the competent authority in PDF format, 50KB to 200KB size.

Optional Documents (for EWS Category):

  • Income Certificate: the latest income certificate issued by the competent authority in PDF format, 50KB to 200KB size.

Q:   Where can I fill out the TS LAWCET registration form?

A:

The TS LAWCET registration form for 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB, and LLM courses can be filled out of the TS LAWCET / PGLCET official exam website, lawcet.tsche.ac.in. The TS LAWCET 2024 application form will be released on March 1, 2024.

Before filling out the registartion form for TS LAWCET, candidates need to consider the following important points: 

  • Read the official notification and information booklet carefully before applying.
  • Ensure you meet all eligibility criteria before registering.
  • Keep your scanned documents ready in the specified format and size.
  • Fill the application form accurately and submit it before the deadline.
  • Download and save a copy of the submitted application form and payment confirmation for future reference.
  • Stay updated with any changes or announcements on the official website.

STEP 1: Payment of application fee for TS LAWCET/PGLCET

  • First candidates need to visit the LAWCET Portal or website of TSCHE, https://lawcet.tsche.ac.in/. Thereafter, they will have to click on the payment link, "STEP 1: Application Fee Payment" as shown in the following image (for reference only):

 

  • Once you click on the payment link, a new window similar to the image shown below will open:

  • Now, fill out the required details mentioned below: 
  1. Candidate's name (as per SSC)
  2. Date of Birth
  3. Candidate's Mobile Number
  4. Alternate Mobile Number 
  5. E-Mail ID 
  6. Qualifying Exam Hall Ticket No./Roll No./Registration No
  7. Category (if you belong to a reserved category)
  8. Select law course (3-year LLB, 5-year LLB or LLM)
  • Once you have filled out all the details, you need to click on the "Proceed Payment" option. You can pay the fee through Debit/ Credit Card or Net Banking.

  • Candidates must note down the “Transaction ID” generated after the payment process is complete. The two IDs are essential for future reference.

STEP 2: Filling the Application Form

After the successful payment of TS LAWCET application fee, candidates need to complete the second step, "STEP 2: Fill Out Application Form".

Details that candidates need to fill in the application form are mentioned below:

1. Candidate’s Details: This includes filling of details such as name, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, and gender.

2. Qualifying Examination: In this column, candidates need to select their qualification [LLB/ Degree in any other stream/ Intermediate (10+2)] and specify all related information. This includes year of passing, hall ticket number of qualifying exam, marks secured, qualifying exam and place of study.

3. Entrance Exam: This includes selecting the entrance exam that candidates want to give - TSPGLCET/ LAWCET- 5 Years/ LAWCET- 3 Years

4. Photo and Signature: Candidates need to upload their recent passport size digital coloured photograph (size < 30 KB) and digital signature (size 15 KB).

5. Regional Centre to Appear for the Test: Here, candidates need to select their preference for TSLAWCET exam centre from the drop-down list.

6. Category: Candidates need to select a category - OC/ BC-A/ BC-B/ BC-C/ BC-D/ BC-E/ SC/ ST. Apart from these, candidates can also select the NCC/ CAP/ Sports if they are applying for admissions under a special category.

7. Local Area Status: Here, aspirants need to select a status such as - TS OU/ Residuary AP (AU/ SUV)/ Non-Local

8. Minority: Candidates belonging to the minority group need to select the “Minority” checkbox and candidates not belonging to the minority group need to select the “Non-minority” checkbox.

9. Address

10. SSC or Equivalent (10th Class): It requires details such as a candidate’s SSC board name, hall ticket number, passed month and year, and place of study.

11. Physically Challenged: Here, candidates need to select their type of physical challenge (visual handicapped/ hearing impaired/ ortho handicapped) (if applicable).

12. Intermediate (12th Class): It requires details such as a candidate’s inter board name, hall ticket number, passed month and year, and place of study.

13. Annual Income of Parents

After all the details are duly filled, candidates are required to select the checkbox given against “I accept the Terms & Conditions” and click the “Submit” button. After the application form is submitted, a Preview of the filled application form will appear on the screen. As the application process for TS LAWCET/PGLCET 2025 is now complete, candidates can print the duly filled TSLAWCET application form.

Note: If candidates wish to make any changes after the online application is submitted, they can do so by logging in to the TS LAWCET website with details like payment reference ID, transaction ID, and qualifying exam hall ticket number. In case candidates want to modify the information which is not allowed on the website, they can submit their complaint by selecting the “Submit Complaint” option. The option is present on the Help Desk icon present on the Home page of the website.

TS LAWCET/PGLCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to apply for TS LAWCET 2025 or TS PGLCET 2025 must meet the eligibility criteria specified by the exam authority. If they fill out the application form and do not meet the eligibility criteria, their candidature will be rejected. Thus, before filling out the form, they need to check the TS LAWCET 2025 eligibility criteria / TS PGLCET 2025 criteria mentioned below:

TS LAWCET

5-year LLB:

  • Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2 level) from any recognized board/council with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST categories).
  • The minimum qualifying marks required in the TS LAWCET 2025 is 45% for the General and OBC categories. The minimum qualifying marks for OBC and ST / ST categories are 42% and 45%. 
  • There is no minimum marks prescribed for SC and ST candidates.

3-year LLB:

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any stream from a recognized university with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST and 42% for OBC categories).
TS PGLCET
  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB/BL) of 3 or 5 years duration from a recognized university.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of their LLB/BL degree programme can also appear for the exam, but must have completed the degree and fulfilled all university requirements before counseling.
  • A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate is required for the LLB/BL degree for the General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories.
  • Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories get a relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks requirement, meaning they need a minimum of 45% marks.

The TS LAWCET LLM exam is called the TS PGLCET. The TS PGLCET eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

Educational Qualification
  • Candidates must have obtained a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree or a graduation degree in any stream from a recognised university.
  • Candidates who are appearing for their final year/semester of the LLB course can also apply for TS PGLCET. However, they need their final year marksheet at the time of TS PGLCET counselling.
Minimum Marks in qualifying exam
  • General & OBC: Minimum of 50% marks 
  • SC/ST/PwD: Minimum of 45% marks 
Age Limit
  • There is no age limit to apply for TS PGLCET.
