Q:   Which is more difficult, LSAT India or CLAT?

A:

CLAT is more difficult than LSAT India because of the time constraint. Candidates have only two hours to solve 150 questions in the exam. However, the time limit to solve 92 questions in the LSAT India exam is 2 hours and 20 minutes. Thus, it is difficult for candidates to complete all questions in the CLAT exam within such a short time limit. Moreover, the CLAT question paper includes questions from Current Affairs and General Knowledge. However, the LSAT India question paper does not include questions on Current Affairs and General Knowledge. Consequently, the LSAT India is comparatively easy because of its question paper pattern.

Q:   Can I correct my LSAT India exam answer if I mistakenly select the wrong answer in the question paper of the exam?

A:
Candidates can change their answer in the online mode while taking the LSAT India exam. However, they need to note that an answer can only be changed or corrected by candidates if they have not submitted the section that is related to the answer or question. For example, a candidate mistakenly marked the wrong option as the answer to a particular section in the Analytical Reasoning section. He or she will only be able to change the answer if he or she has not completed and submitted the section. Once answers to all the questions in the section are submitted, he or she will not be able to change that specific answer. Moreover, 35 minutes are provided to candidates for completing an individual section of the LSAT India exam. If the time limit of 35 minutes to solve the Analytical Reasoning section is passed, the candidate will not be able to change the answers to any questions in the sections. The same conditions apply to changing the answers to questions in all sections of the LSAT India examination.

Q:   What are my career opportunities if I attend a reputed law college after passing the LSAT India exam?

A:
Candidates who clear the LSAT India exam need to note that passing this exam is not a guarantee of a successful career in law, even if you attend a highly reputed law college. They must work hard to develop the real-life skills that are required to succeed as lawyers during their years of education at a law college. They need to learn all the law-related lessons taught to them at the college and implement them practically by participating in moot court activities and internships to gain the legal knowledge applicable to real life scenarios. Moreover, the career opportunities in law also depend on the law in which you specialise. The job opportunities in the field of law will be related to your specialisation in law.

Q:   Has LSAC Global changed the exam pattern of LSAT India?

A:
No, the LSAT India exam pattern is the same as in previous years. However, the examination mode has changed from a pen and paper-based exam to a remotely-proctored online mode. Initially, the pattern was revised with the inclusion of a variable section as well, and the overall exam duration was increased to 2 hours 55 minutes. The LSAT India exam question paper has four sections, namely, Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning I, Logical Reasoning II, and Reading Comprehension. Candidates need to complete all sections within 2 hours and 20 minutes, or 80 minutes. To complete each section, there will be a time limit of 35 minutes.

Q:   Is there any sectional time limit to attempt the LSAT India exam?

A:
Yes, there is a time limit of 35 minutes to solve each section of the LSAT India exam. Candidates must solve each section within 35 minutes. Once the given time limit of 35 minutes for a section is finished, candidates will not be able to access the same section. Candidates will receive marks based on the questions they could answer correctly in each within the provided time limit. Candidates obtaining an 80+ percentile or higher can get admissions to top law colleges. LSAC releases the LSAT India result as percentile scores calculated on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidate and the number of candidates who appeared for the exam.

Q:   Which is the most difficult section of the LSAT India exam?

A:

The difficulty level of each section of the LSAT India exam changes every day. Based on the pattern of the question papers of the ISAT India exam (question papers of previous years), it has been observed that the Analytical Reasoning is the most difficult section of the question paper of the LSAT India exam because questions in this section are lengthy. Candidates need more time and reasoning ability to find relationships between situations, objects, or scenarios to answer questions in this section of the exam. Thus, the requirements of more time and reasoning ability to solve questions in the Analytical Reasoning section of the LSAT India exam make it the toughest section. The easiest section in the LSAT India examination is Reading Comprehension because it requires a good understanding of the English language to crack this section of the exam.

Thumbs Up IconUpvote Thumbs Down Icon

Q:   Is the question paper of the LSAT India exam in each slot different?

A:

Yes, the question paper of the LSAT India exam for each slot is different, even if two or more candidates take the exam on the same day and in the same session. However, the pattern of the exam will be the same for all slots. Candidates in all slots receive the same time limit of 140 minutes to answer all questions. These questions are asked in four sections, Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning 1, Logical Reasoning 2, and Reading Comprehension. Candidates will get only 35 minutes to solve an individual section. They will not lose any mark for a wrong answer. Thus, all exam takers have the facility to select the answer to a question as per their knowledge without considering the penalty of a score reduction while solving the LSAT India exam question paper.

LSAT India Syllabus 2025

Pearson VUE does not provide specific syllabus for LSAT India. But it mentions the subjects from which questions are asked in the exam. The subjects from which questions will be asked in LSAT India 2025 are the following:

  1. Analytical Reasoning
  2. Logical Reasoning
  3. Logical Reasoning II
  4. Reading Comprehension

Q:   What is the difficulty level of the LSAT India?

A:

The difficulty level of the LSAT India exam is moderate to difficult. The exam has lengthy questions, and reading these questions takes time. In addition, candidates also need time to solve all these questions. But the time limit to solve all the questions is 2 hours and 20 minutes, or 140 minutes. Thus, they get very little time to read and solve lengthy questions in the question paper of the LSAT India exam, which increases its difficulty. Moreover, the Reading Comprehension section of the LSAT India exam is difficult. On the contrary, the questions in the LSAT India are not based on General Knowledge and Quantitative Aptitude or Mathematics. The absence of these two sections that requires continuous practice makes the LSAT India exam easier than the CLAT and AILET exam. The sections under which questions are asked in the LSAT India exam are Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning 1, Logical Reasoning 2, and Reading Comprehension. All LSAT India exam takers need to note that the difficulty level of all exams depends on your preparation. If you prepare well, you can crack the LSAT India and other entrance exams.

Thumbs Up IconUpvote Thumbs Down Icon

A:
LSAT stands for Law School Admission Test. The pattern of LSAT examination is as follows- Maximum time- 2 Hours 20 Minutes Pen and paper format I.e. offline 92-100 Multiple Choice Questions The paper will be divided into 4 sections- Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning- 1, Logical Reasoning- 2, and Reading Comprehension. No negative marking for any wrong attempts. The scores will be in percentile form. The number of questions answered correctly will form the raw score. The law schools are concerned with the scaled score. If you are more towards the right side of the bell curve it will be better for you. Once you receive the results, you are compared to all the LSAT takers so that you can see how you performed in relation to others. Q:   What is the minimum cutoff criteria for LSAT India 2025?

A:

There is no minimum cutoff for LSAT India 2025 because the LSAT India exam authority does not provide candidates with admissions to a particular college or university. The LSAT India exam is a pathway for admission to law courses at colleges that accept scores of this examination. Thus, there is no provision for a cutoff associated with the LSAT India exam. After the LSAT India results are announced, candidates need to apply to an individual college (college that accepts the LSAT India score) in which they are seeking admission and follow their respective process. Later, the college prepares merit lists, to select candidates for the counselling process, which is followed by the admission process.

Q:   What is a good LSAT-India score?

A:

The raw score is converted to a Law School Admission Test India scaled score that ranges from 420 to 480, with 420 being the lowest possible score and 480 as the highest possible score. By using the scaled scores of the Law School Admission Test India, students and universities can compare the various scores during the admission process. As per the Law School Admission Council, the scores of the Law School Admission Test India will remain valid for 5 years.

Q:   How is the LSAT India score and percentile/rank calculated?

Once all the raw scores are compiled, the average of these scores are calculated to form a bell curve to form a scaled score which usually ranges from 120-180. The law schools are concerned with the scaled score. If you are more towards the right side of the bell curve it will be better for you. Once you receive the results, you are compared to all the LSAT takers so that you can see how you performed in relation to others. Once you get your LSAT score you can easily check how much your target school requires to fit in. Yes it is this easy. Hope you find the answer helpful. Thank you.

Q:   What is the meaning of scaled score in relation to the LSAT India exam?

A:

A scaled score in the context of LSAT India refers to the number of questions a candidate answers correctly. It represents the raw or estimated score achieved in the exam. The scaled score is measured on a scale from 420 to 480, reflecting the candidate's aptitude for studying law.

Due to variations across different versions of the LSAT India test administered at different times, the scaled score is not used to directly compare candidates' performances. Instead, it is converted into a percentile rank. However, achieving a certain percentile rank does not guarantee admission to a preferred college. Admission based on LSAT India depends on the specific percentile each college accepts.

Q:   How is the LSAT India different from other law entrance exams such as the CLAT and AILET?

A:

LSAT India is a standardised test with a uniform pattern and a single question paper. The exam aims to provide candidates with admissions to five-year integrated LL.B. Courses, three-year LL.B. LL. M. or Ph.D. courses in law. Candidates can take the exam for admissions to more than 85 private law colleges in India. However, CLAT and AILET have separate question papers for UG and PG courses.
