If you aspire to attend a top law college based on your LSAT India scores, achieving a high score on the entrance test is essential. To do this, it is crucial to understand how your performance will be evaluated and what a good LSAT India score is. In this article, Shiksha will help you comprehend the LSAT India 2025 result evaluation process and determine what score can be considered good for LSAT India 2025.

Q:   How is the LSAT India score and percentile/rank calculated?

A:
LSAT stands for Law School Admission Test. The pattern of LSAT examination is as follows- Maximum time- 2 Hours 20 Minutes Pen and paper format I.e. offline 92-100 Multiple Choice Questions The paper will be divided into 4 sections- Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning- 1, Logical Reasoning- 2, and Reading Comprehension. No negative marking for any wrong attempts. The scores will be in percentile form. The number of questions answered correctly will form the raw score. Once all the raw scores are compiled, the average of these scores are calculated to form a bell curve to form a scaled score which usually ranges from 120-180. The law schools are concerned with the scaled score. If you are more towards the right side of the bell curve it will be better for you. Once you receive the results, you are compared to all the LSAT takers so that you can see how you performed in relation to others. Once you get your LSAT score you can easily check how much your target school requires to fit in. Yes it is this easy. Hope you find the answer helpful. Thank you.

Q:   I have 40% marks in graduation. Will I get admission in a good law college in India with a high ISAT score?

A:
No, You can not do Legum Baccalaureus LL.B. With 40 percent in graduation. BCI (Bar Council of India) Rules prescribes a minimum of 45 percent marks in the qualifying exam that is 12th or UG degree to become eligible to join a 3-year or 5 years LL.B. Degree programme in India. Some universities like Delhi University prescribe a minimum of 50 percent marks in graduation or post-graduation to become eligible to join the LL.B. Degree programme at Delhi University Law Faculty. So, if you do a post-graduate degree I. e. an M.A. M.Sc. Or M.Com with 50 percent, you can still join LL.B. On the basis of your post-graduate marks even if you don't have 40 percent in graduation.

Q:   What is the minimum cutoff criteria for LSAT India 2025?

A:

There is no minimum cutoff for LSAT India 2025 because the LSAT India exam authority does not provide candidates with admissions to a particular college or university. The LSAT India exam is a pathway for admission to law courses at colleges that accept scores of this examination. Thus, there is no provision for a cutoff associated with the LSAT India exam. After the LSAT India results are announced, candidates need to apply to an individual college (college that accepts the LSAT India score) in which they are seeking admission and follow their respective process. Later, the college prepares merit lists, to select candidates for the counselling process, which is followed by the admission process.

How is the LSAT India 2025 Score Calculated?

To calculate the score of the LSAT India 2025, the following steps are used:

  • LSAC considers the aggregate score of marks obtained by candidates in the Reading Comprehension, Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning 1, Logical Reasoning 2, and Analytical Reasoning sections of the LSAT India 2025 exam. These marks are the raw score.
  • Once all the raw scores are compiled from each section, the average of these scores is calculated to form a scaled score, which ranges from 420-480.
  • The difficulty level of the LSAT India tests in each slot is different, because of which the LSAT India scores 2025 for individual candidates are difficult to compare.
  • To make LSAT India 2025 scores comparable, they have been represented as scaled scores. On this scale of scores, 420 is the lowest score, and 480 is the highest score.

LSAT India Scorecard 2025 - Important Details

The following details are available on the scorecard of LSAT India 2025 for the January and May sessions:

  • Candidate’s name
  • The law programme for which the candidate appeared in the test
  • Roll number
  • LSAT India ID
  • Obtained score scaled from 420-480
  • Obtained percentile and score band

Cancellation of LSAT India Score 2025 and Re-Test Option

LSAT India scores can be cancelled under the following conditions:

  • If a candidate is found to be involved in cheating during the LSAT India computer-based proctored exam.
  • If a candidate hides his or her face from the vision of the web camera.
  • If he or she looks here or there during the exam.
  • If he or she does not complete the test and leaves it in the middle.
  • If a candidate uses digital devices other than the desktop or laptop computer that needs to be used to take the LSAT India 2025 exam.

LSAT India 2025 Retest Option

There will be no chances for candidates to take the LSAT India 2025 January and May tests again under any circumstances. Thus, if your LSAT India result 2025 is cancelled, you will not get the chance to take a retest.

LSAT India Score Band 2025 Vs LSAT India Percentile Rank 2025

LSAT India Score Band - The LSAT exam authority uses a score band or scale from 420 to 480 to indicate the exam score. The number of questions they successfully answer determines their LSAT India score. It is an assessment of the candidates' real ability level as measured through the exam.

Because the test difficulty levels for the various LSAT India 2025 slots were marginally different, LSAT India 2025 scores are available in a score band. Therefore, in this case, the scores obtained by applicants who appeared in various test slots cannot reflect their level of skill proficiency. In light of this problem, the LSAT India score ranges from 420 to 480. This score range is called LSAT India Score Band 2025.

LSAT India Percentile - The LSAT India Percentile 2025 compares the scores obtained by different candidates in their respective law subjects. Thus, percentile ranks for the LSAT India 2025 5-year LLB test compare the scores obtained by different candidates who appeared in the test conducted for this subject. For example, a percentile of 85 indicates that you scored higher than 85% of test takers for your programme who took the LSAT India 2025 within the same administration.
