Q:   How much of a score do I need to get admission to a good college through LSAT India?

A:
LSAT India scores are measured on a scale between 420 and 480. Candidates who receive the LSAT India score between 420 and 480 will get admission to any good college accepting admissions through this exam. All the aspirants who want to take admission to a UG or PG law college through the LSAT India exam also need to note that some other factors also affect their admission to a good law college. These factors include the number of seats available in the college for a particular course and the number of applicants. Different private colleges accept different LSAT scores. Thus, before applying to a law college through LSAT India, candidates must check the score requirements.

LSAT India participating colleges are broadly of two types - associated colleges and affiliated colleges. Check main attributes about both LSAT India associated colleges and LSAT India affiliated colleges below.

LSAT India Associated Colleges

  1. Reserve seats particularly for LSAT India applicants from the total intake of the law course
  2. Provide scholarships specifically to LSAT India applicants after they secure a seat at the college

LSAT India Affiliated Colleges

Q:   Which is the best college which I can get admission in through LSAT India?

A:
The best college for candidates to get admission to law courses through the LSAT India exam depends on multiple factors. The first is the quality of education offered by the institution. Other criteria that can help in finding the best college accepting LSAT India scores depend on the amenities offered by the institution for the overall legal aptitude and personality development of candidates. These criteria include an excellent moot court facility, research assistance, and co-curricular activities that foster the personality development of candidates. Thus, while selecting the best college that accepts LSAT India scores, candidates must consider the mentioned criteria. Some examples of the colleges that accept the LSAT India scores and meet the mentioned criteria are Jindal Global Law School (Sonepat), Alliance Law School (Bengaluru), and UPES Dehradun. Candidates can also opt for other law colleges that accept LSAT India results according to their personal educational goals and aspirations.

Q:   Can I get admission to a government law college through the LSAT India exam?

A:
No, government law colleges do not accept LSAT India scores. They have their own state level or national level entrance exam through which they accept admissions to UG and PG law courses. Many government colleges also accept a merit-based admissions process for admission to different law courses. Under this process, the government college prepares a merit list based on the marks secured by applicants in their qualifying exam. After preparing merit lists for admission to law courses, different government colleges may prefer different steps for admission. Candidates need to note that LSAT India is conducted for admission to private colleges, which are members of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC).

Q:   What is the LSAC Global Alliance?

A:
The LSAC Global Alliance includes a group of colleges that are associated with LSAC Global for providing admissions to law aspirants to UG and PG law courses. LSAC refers to the Law School Admission Council, which is a United States-based nonprofit organisation. This organisation aims to provide a pathway for law aspirants to acquire legal education through the ISAT (Law School Admission Test) examination. Based on their ISAT score, candidates apply to law colleges to study law. Many universities or colleges in India are members of the LSAC Global Alliance. Based on this partnership, the universities or colleges accept ISAT India results for admission to law programmes. There is also a provision for getting a scholarship through the ISAT India exam at the colleges that accept its score. The ISAT India scholarship is valid only for candidates who top the law entrance exam.
