Q:   How many total marks does one need in MH CET Law exam?

A:

The total marks in the MH CET Law exam can vary based on the number of questions and the marking scheme. Each correct answer is generally awarded +1 mark. There is no provision of negative marking in the MH CET law exam. The total marks can be calculated by summing up the marks earned for all the correct answers while avoiding the number of incorrect responses.

For example, if the exam consists of 150 questions and a candidate answers 100 questions correctly while getting 20 questions wrong, the total marks would be calculated as (100 * 1) = 100 marks.

However, the specific total marks can differ from year to year based on the number of questions in each section and any changes in the marking scheme. Candidates should refer to the official MH CET Law guidelines for accurate information on the total marks for the particular exam year.

1. Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning: Understanding legal principles, reasoning skills, and applying laws to scenarios.

2. General Knowledge and Current Affairs: Awareness of national and international events, politics, science, and legal developments.

3. Logical and Analytical Reasoning: Logical thinking, pattern recognition, and problem-solving abilities.

4. English: Language proficiency, comprehension skills, and grammar usage.

5. Basic Mathematics (for LLB 5-year): Fundamental math concepts like percentages, ratios, and geometry.

For LLB 3-year, subjects vary and include Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Law of Contracts, Criminal Law, and more.

These sections collectively assess candidates' legal aptitude, reasoning, language skills, and knowledge relevant to their chosen law program.

Q:   Is the English section just about grammar and vocabulary in the MH CET Law exam?

A:

No, the English section in the MH CET Law exam is not solely about grammar and vocabulary. While grammar and vocabulary are important components, the English section is broader in scope. It assesses candidates' overall proficiency in the English language, including their comprehension skills, ability to understand complex passages, and interpret textual information. The section may include reading comprehension passages, where candidates are required to understand and answer questions based on the given text. It also evaluates candidates' writing skills, clarity of expression, and coherence in presenting arguments. Effective communication, logical organisation of ideas, and the capability to articulate thoughts are also crucial aspects evaluated in this section. Therefore, while grammar and vocabulary are certainly part of the assessment, the English section encompasses a more comprehensive evaluation of language skills necessary for effective legal communication.
