Entrance Exams for MBA in Finance
The central and state-level examinations for MBA Finance programmes at India's top institutions are listed here. Passing the graduation with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for Reserved category candidates) is the minimum eligibility criteria for these examinations.
- ATMA: AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is India’s well-known national level MBA admission test. More than 600 MBA institutions in India, including Welingkar Mumbai, JIMS Rohini (Delhi), NDIM New Delhi, and Jaipuria Noida, provide MBA admission based on ATMA test scores.
- CAT: The Common Admission Test (CAT) is the top MBA entrance exam of India, It is conducted by the IIM. Over 1,300 B-Schools accept CAT score for admission.
- CMAT: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), an online computer-based exam. It is a national-level entrance exam designed to assist institutions in selecting qualified individuals for admission to all AICTE-approved management programmes.
- GMAT: The Graduate Management Admission Exam (GMAT) is a computer-adaptive test designed to measure specific analytical, writing, mathematical, verbal and reading abilities in written English for a graduate management degree, such as an MBA programme.
- MAT: The All India Management Association (AIMA) administers the Management Aptitude Test (MAT), a national-level entrance test for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes. The test is held four times a year, in February, May, September and December.
- NMAT: NMAT is a national level MBA entrance exam that is valid for admission to NMIMS Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore's flagship PGDM programmes and over 100 B-schools in India.
- SNAP: Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes offered by the university’s 16 constituent institutes.
- XAT: The XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a national-level management entrance test administered by XLRI, Jamshedpur, for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes. XAT score accepted by over 700 other MBA colleges in India.
