Q: Â For how long is MAH CET score valid for admission?
MAH CET score is valid for admission for one year only. Those who have appeared for MAH CET 2024, can seek admission to participating colleges this year only (2024-25 batch) Candidates who will appear in MAH MBA CET 2025, their scores will be valid for admission to 2025-2026 batch of MBA programmes only. Those who wish to take a break of one year will have to appear for the exam again.
It is good to take a break and appear for the MAH CET exam next year again instead of taking admission in a college that is not of your choice. If you’ve scored below expectation in the current attempt, skip the year, prepare for the exam again, score better the next year and pursue MBA from a college that meets all your parameters.

The MAH MBA CET 2025 exam date announcement was done on November 27, 2024 The Maharashtra State CET Cell announced the exam date on its official website mahacet.org. The exam will be conducted on March 17, 18 and 19, 2025. There will be six sessions. Two sessions per day. In 2024, the MAH CET exam was conducted on March 9, 10 and 11, 2024.
The exam slot and session will be allotted to candidates by the examination body and no changes will be allowed.

MAH MBA CET 2025 application form will release most likely in the second week of January 2025. Registration dates will be announced by the Maharashtra State CET Cell at its official website. The MAH MBA CET 2025 registration process will be conducted for about a month.
Candidates interested in appearing for MAH MBA CET 2025 will be required to fill the online application form and pay the requisite fee before the last date. MAH CET is a state level entrance exam for admission to over 300 MBA/MMS colleges, but candidates from other part of countries too can register and appear for it.
Q: Â Are MAH CET application form and counselling form the same?
No, the MAH CET application form and MAH CET Counselling form are different and candidates have to fill them separately. The MAH CET application form is valid for the entrance test only and the MAH CET counseling application form has to be filled by only those candidates who qualify the entrance test and wish to participate in the seat allotment process. The MAH MBA CET counseling registration form is released about 2 months after the entrance test result announcement. The candidates will have to fill the counseling form at the MAHA CET counseling portal.
Those who shall have filled the MAH CET MBA/MMS application form and appeared for the exam, will not have to pay the registration fee at the time of CAP. However, those who will be participating in MAH CET CAP through CAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT score will have to pay the registration fee of Rs 1000 (Rs 800 for registered category candidates).

MAH MBA CET 2025 Important Events
MAH MBA CET 2025 Registrations: MAH CET exam is conducted for admission to MBA/MMS. Registration process of MAH CET 2025 will be conducted on the official website of MAH CET. The MAH MBA CET application fee is INR 1,000 for Open category students and INR 800 for Maharashtra students.Â

Yes, you can prepare for MAH MBA CET in 6 months as the syllabus in not very different from any other MBA entrance test. The main subjects to study are Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. Data Interpretation is the sub part of Quantitative Aptitude so you need not prepare for it separately. To prepare for MAH MBA CET in six months, make a plan which is more focused on the topics from which most of the questions are asked. This is to make sure that you prepare the right topics in the given limited time. After the MAH MBA CET result announcement the State CET will conduct common counselling for admission to about 300 colleges in Maharashtra, most likely in July-August. Qualifying candidates will be required to participate in MAH CET counselling for admission to participating MBA colleges in Maharashtra by filling the online counselling form. The MAH MBA CET counselling process will be conducted in two or three rounds and will be based on cut offs. Candidates will be allotted seat in the college of their choice, if they meet the minimum cut off percentile of that college.
The counselling will be held for mainly two categories – Maharashtra State candidates and All India candidates. Separate merit lists will be released for these two categories. To be eligible for MAH CET counselling candidates need to score more than 0 in MBA CET exam.

Quantitative Aptitude: Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Mensuration, Partnership (Accounts), Profit and Loss, Mean, mode, median, Ratio and Proportion, In-Equations, Quadratic and Linear equations, Surds and Indices, Time-Speed-Distance, Number System, Geometric Progression, Binomial theorem, Inequalities, Work and Time, Percentage, Logarithms, Square Root and Cube Root, Probability and Simple Interest and Compound Interest.

You can cover the MAH CET syllabus in three to six months as per your familiarity with the topics and ability. If you are from the engineering or technical background, you will be able to cover the MAH CET syllabus in three months. However, if you are from a non-technical background you will need more time to cover the syllabus as you will have to study the Quantitative Aptitude concepts from scratch.
Similarly, for preparing the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension candidates will have to start the preparation early as reading comprehension cannot be mastered overnight. They need to read novels, books, magazines, etc. regularly for months to develop reading speed and comprehension.

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra uploads round wise and category wise MAH MBA CET cut offs on its official website during the CAP process. The MAH CET MBA 2024 cut offs were released during the CAP 2024 which was held from July 12 to September 12, 2024. MAH CET cut offs include only the overall cut offs on the basis of which seats are allotted to candidates during the counselling process. Candidates do not have to meet any sectional cut off to be eligible for admission into a particular MBA college. MAH CET cut offs 2024 were declared for three rounds. Cut off percentiles of students belonging to different categories were different. The category specific cut offs were released by the State CET separately. Candidates belonging to reserved category must check and choose their college accordingly.

MAH MBA CET 2024 CAP or the counseling process began on July 12, 2024. The complete schedule of MAH CET CAP 2024 was announced by the Maharashtra State CET at its website on the same date. The process will go on till September 12, 2024 which will include registration form filling, round-wise seat allotment, uploading of documents, cut-off release, and admission confirmation. The MAH CET CAP is usually held a month after the exam result has been declared but for the last three years, it was delayed. In fact, the entire MAH CET session was delayed in the last three years as a result of which the counseling process was conducted as late as November and December. In 2023, the process was held in July and got over by the end of August.
