A:

Yes, candidates can get rejected in the GD/PI round even after scoring 99.91 in MAH CET in colleges like JBIMS. The GD/PI round is an important part of the MBA selection process, and it is used to assess a candidates communication skills, leadership potential, and overall stability for the program. A high score in the MAH CET does not guarantee a seat in the college, and candidates need to perform well in the GD/PI round as well.  Here are some of the reasons why a candidate with a high MAH CET score can get rejected in the GD/PI round:

  • Poor communication skills: The GD/PI round is a test of a candidates communication skills. Candidates need to be able to communicate effective in both written and verbal form. They should be able to express their ideas clearly and concisely, and they should be able to think on their feet and respond to questions intelligent.

Candidates need to be able to demonstrate that they are interested in a career in management, and that they have the skills and qualities that are required for success in the program.

If you are planning to apply for an MBA program, it is important to prepare for the GD/PI round. You can do this by practicing your communication skills, developing your leadership skills, and learning about the MBA programme that you are interested in.

Q:   I have 54.50 %ile in MAH CET. Is it possible for me to get admission in any college?

A:

Getting admission to a college with a percentile score of 54.50 in MAH CET may be challenging, but it is still possible to get admission to some colleges. The admission process and cut-off scores vary from college to college and depend on several factors such as the number of seats available, the number of applicants, and the category you belong to. Therefore, it is important to research colleges that offer the course you are interested in and check their cut-off scores for the previous years. You can also consider applying to colleges that offer admission through management quota or NRI quota. However, the fees for these seats are usually higher than the regular seats. Overall, applying to as many colleges as possible can increase your chances of getting admission.

How is MAH MBA CET Score Calculated?

In MBA CET, 1 mark is awarded to each correct answer and 0 mark is allotted to each wrong/blank answer. There is no negative marking. The overall score is calculated by adding the marks obtained by a candidate in all the four sections of the MAH CET question paper.

Given below are important aspects of MAH MBA CET score calculation:

  • Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate is considered for calculating the total raw score referred to as Corrected Score.
  • Since, MAH CET MBA is conducted on two or three days and the difficulty level of the question paper of Day 1 may vary from the question paper of Day 2/Day 3, the Corrected Scores obtained by all the candidates (appearing on Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3) are normalised to ensure their performance is equated fairly.
  • The score allotted to candidates after normalization is called Equated Scores. The formula applied for MAH MBA CET percentile calculation is same as other MBA entrance exams.
  • Slot-wise test scores and overall scores of MAH MBA CET are reported with decimal points up to two digits.
  • Candidates getting same score/percentile will be ranked same.
  • The scores displayed on the MAH MBA CET result/scorecard are not the raw scores but the equated scores.

Q:   What is MAH CET score normalization process?

A:

MAH CET score normalization process is undertaken to ensure that all candidates are judged on the same plane. This is done because MAH MBA CET is a multi-session exam and it may be possible that one session can be slighter easier or tougher than another.

MAH CET score normalization ensures that no candidate has an advantage or disadvantage over another due to differences in difficulty level of their exam session. So, before the preparation of the MBA CET result and merit list, the Maharashtra CET normalizes the exam scores. Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all candidates who appear for MAH CET. Basically, the marks obtained by every candidate are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session.

Thumbs Up IconUpvote Thumbs Down Icon

Q:   What is the marking scheme of MAH CET MBA?

A:

In case of incorrect attempt, candidates will be marked zero. If they skip a question, even then they will be marked zero. Total marks of a candidate will be calculated out 200 on the basis of their total number of correct attempt.

Section wise the marks allotment is as follows:

  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension: 50 marks
  • Logical Reasoning: 75 marks
  • Abstract Reasoning: 25 marks

Q:   In which section of MAH MBA CET can I score maximum?

A:

It is tough to say that as there is no set pattern of sectional weightage in MAH CET anymore. Since the last two years, the number of questions for each section of the exam, varies for every slot. Meaning that, if in one slot there are 75 questions on LR and 25 AR, in the second slot there can be 60 questions on LR and 40 questions on AR. Similarly, there could be 50 questions on QA in one slot but in the next slot it could be 40. The total number of questions remain 200 in all the slots but the sectional weightage changes. So, one can really not prepare for the exam with the target of scoring maximum in a particular section. They need to prepare for all sections as any section can have maximum questions and the potential to score maximum.
