Admission to the postgraduate courses offered by the AIIMS group of institutes will be on the basis of the marks obtained in INI CET 2021. The counselling for AIIMS PG 2021 is conducted in five rounds, namely mock round, first round, second round, third round and open round. All rounds of AIIMS PG 2021 counselling, except the open round, are conducted online. Registrations for the mock round of AIIMS PG counselling 2021 is expected to begin in the second week of December. The institute will soon release the date sheet for the subsequent events of AIIMS PG 2021 counselling, which will be updated here.

The process for AIIMS PG counselling 2021 open round will be similar to the previous rounds. Interested candidates must deposit their original certificates in any of the eight AIIMS institutes, namely New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Jodhpur, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh. Those not in possession of their original certificates must deposit a Demand Draft of Rs 3,00,000, drawn in favour of 'The Director, AIIMS New Delhi'. This will be caution deposit and will be forfeited if the candidate fails to submit the original certificates within five days of reporting to the institute. Result for the open round of AIIMS PG counselling 2021 will be announced on August 19.

AIIMS PG Counselling Eligibility
To qualify INI CET 2021, a candidate needed to score more than or equal to 50th percentile in the exam. However, qualifying the examination does not make a candidate eligible to participate in the AIIMS PG counselling 2021. After the results are announced, AIIMS releases a merit list of the candidates who have qualified the examination. The total number of candidates in this merit list is eight times the total of seats available. Only those candidates who are included in the AIIMS PG merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. Candidates can refer to the AIIMS PG cut off for the last session to get an idea of percentile scores that are required to make it to the list of candidates eligible for the first round of counselling.

AIIMS PG 2021 Counselling Process
The counselling process of AIIMS PG started with online registration on the official website of the institute. Candidates must note that they had to register separately for the AIIMS PG counselling. Candidates had to log in to their accounts on 'MyPage' using the registration ID and password created for the examination. After completing the registration process, a new password was generated which is valid for accessing the AIIMS PG counselling process only. Candidates then had to submit the choices for the desired institute and course. The institute allotted seats to those participating in AIIMS PG 2021 counselling based on the choices filled. Each of these steps has been elaborated below, read on to know the more about the AIIMS PG counselling process.
Step 1: Registration
Candidates must note that they will not get a chance to register before the second/third round of AIIMS PG 2021 counselling. Therefore, all candidates have to register themselves online before the last date if they wished to participate in the counselling of AIIMS PG 2021.
- Go to MyPage on the official website of aiimsexams.org
- Login using the credentials generated while filling the AIIMS PG application form
- Register for the AIIMS PG counselling 2021
- After the registration process is complete, a new password is generated
Step 2: Filling the preferences
In this step, candidates had to log in to their registered account and follow these instructions:
- Click on “Make Choice”
- To add choice, select the preferred AIIMS institute
- Now click on “Add Choice”
- To remove a choice, click on “Delete” option next to the drop-down
- After filling in the preferences, click on “Save”
- Recheck your preferences and confirm the choices
- Candidate must note that the choices once submitted cannot be changed
For participating in the second/third round of AIIMS PG counselling 2021, candidates merely have to the change/modify the preferences filled by them in the preference form. They need not register again for the counselling process of AIIMS PG 2021. The steps to modify the choices are the same as the ones listed above.
Step 3: Allotment result for the mock round of AIIMS PG counselling 2021
Based on the preferences filled by the registered candidates, AIIMS seat allotment list for the respective round of AIIMS PG counselling will be prepared.
Step 4: Final submission of campus preference
- This will be the final chance for a candidate to edit or change the preferences before the seat allotment list for AIIMS PG is prepared
- Candidates who fail to fill in the preferences for the respective round of AIIMS PG counselling 2021 will not considered for the next round of counselling as well
Step 5: Seat allotment list for AIIMS PG 2021
A final list of the selected candidates is prepared and displayed on the website.

Step 6: Accept or decline the allocated seat
Those who make it to the seat allotment list of AIIMS PG 2021 have to choose whether they wanted to accept or refuse the seat allotted to them. They have to log in to their registered account and choose from the following options:
Option 1: Candidates wish to continue with the seat allocated to them, and do not wish to participate in the further rounds of AIIMS PG counselling
Option 2: Candidates accepts the seat allocated to them, but would like to participate in the next round of AIIMS PG 2021 counselling
Option 3: Candidates refuse the seat allocated to them, but wish to participate for the next round of counselling of AIIMS PG 2021
Option 4: Candidates refuse the seat allocated to them and also opts out of the next round of counselling for AIIMS PG 2021
Candidates must note that the Option 3 and Option 4 will not be available for the first round of AIIMS PG counselling 2021. Therefore, they are advised to fill their choices very carefully. Not choosing either of the available options led to the forfeiture of their candidature, following which that candidate was not allowed to participate in the second/third round of counselling. However, such candidates can register themselves again for the mop-up round of AIIMS PG counselling 2021.
Candidates who have been selected in the third round of AIIMS PG 2021 counselling can only choose 'Option 1'. Not submitting this choice online will lead to forfeiture of their seat, which shall be added to the seat matrix for the open round of counselling.
Step 7: Reporting to the Institute for verification of the documents
Candidates who accept the seat allocated to them have to report to the allotted AIIMS for the verification of the documents. Those who fail to report to the institute will lose the seat allocated to them and will not be eligible to participate in the next round of counselling. However, they can participate in the open round of AIIMS PG counselling.
What are the documents required during the counselling of AIIMS PG 2021?
Admission to the institute will is subject to successful verification of the documents of the candidate. Therefore, it is important that the selected candidates carry all the required documents (both original and self-attested copies) while reporting to the institute. The documents that one must carry on the day of reporting are listed below.

- MBBS/ BDS degree
- Marksheets of MBBS/ BDS professional examinations

- Class 10 certificate/ date of birth certificate
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
