Could you finish the examination in time?
AIIMS PG 2020 had questions for which candidates had to mark the single best answer. This was the reason why many candidates found AIIMS PG easy. They were able to complete the examination before time and most of them were happy with their performance in the examination.
Kanishk, a resident of Faridabad said, “The examination was easy. I was not expecting it to go this well.”
What was the overall difficulty level of the examination?
According to most students, AIIMS PG 2020 exam can be categorised as easy to moderate. While most of the questions were easy to moderate, some did required a thorough knowledge of the subjects. The gradual shift of the questions from the theoretical side to the clinical side has raised the difficulty level of the questions. Unlike in the past years, AIIMS PG 2020 question paper also had one liners. However, students did not categorise these questions as easy because of the tricky response options.
Which side did AIIMS PG 2020 tip towards?
The exam was largely based on questions that could be solved by those who understand the clinical scenarios better. AIIMS PG focused on practical questions rather than theoretical ones. There were also a lot of image-based questions in AIIMS PG 2020. These were mostly from Anatomy and Microbiology. Unlike the last session, AIIMS PG 2020 July session question paper did not have any video-based question.
Neha Bansal, another AIIMS PG aspirant said, “Most questions in AIIMS PG were based on clinical knowledge. But this has been the trend for the past few years, so we were prepared”
Subjects which were important this year
Based on the AIIMS PG exam analysis, the paper was dominated by Anatomy and Medicine. The next subject which was this session's favourite is Microbiology. The remaining subjects had almost equal weightage in AIIMS PG 2020.
Subjects that did not carry much weightage this year
According to the students that we spoke to, Psychiatry had the least number of questions this year. However, the question paper was more balanced this time as compared to the last session.
Was the exam difficult as compared to the January session?
Most candidates who were attempting AIIMS PG for the second or third time found the question paper easier as compared to that for the January session. The question paper for the January session had a few video-based questions that stumped many students.
