NEET MDS 2024 counselling dates were announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on June 25, 2024. The Round 1 has concluded. The Round 2 registration and choice filling process concluded on July 28, 2024. This round has 1,040 vacant seats. There are four rounds of counselling and the entire process will conclude on September 14, 2024. The number of rounds may vary as per the seat vacancies.

NEET MDS 2024 was conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on March 18, 2024. The NEET MDS 2024 result was declared on April 3, 2024. NEET MDS 2024 Counselling
The NEET MDS 2024 counselling process is being conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the 50 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Dental colleges across India offering MDS courses are the participating institutes for the NEET MDS counselling process. The method of NEET MDS counselling is completely online wherein eligible candidates have to register and fill in choices of their preferred courses and colleges. MCC will allot seats based on the choices and the scores or ranks. To confirm the admission offer, candidates will have to report to the allotted institute along with the requisite documents. Once the documents are verified and the requisite admission fee is paid, their admission will be confirmed.

A total of five rounds of NEET MDS counselling are conducted for seat allotment. Originally four rounds are conducted by MCC, after which an additional round is announced based on the seat vacancies. Choice filling in the given deadline is mandatory for seat allotment. If you have filled in the choices and saved them, they will be considered during the seat allotment process. However, if you haven't filled in the choices, you will have to wait till the next round of NEET MDS counselling 2024. Candidates do have to declare choice for college and course in the given timeframe. They also have to lock the choice otherwise it gets automatically locked after the deadline and candidates can't modify them. Seats will be allotted in different counselling rounds based on choice declaration, availability of seats in particular college and course, reservation factor etc.

There is no limit on the number of choices that a candidate can fill during the counselling of NEET MDS. These choices, however, should be in the order of preference as desired by the candidate. Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to download the NEET MDS scorecard 2024.

- Click on the Application Link and click on ‘Login’

The NEET MDS 2024 cutoff is higher than last year. However, it is lower than last year's original cutoff, before it was revised. According to NBE, the NEET MDS cutoff percentile is 50 for General, 45 for OBC and OBC-PWD category candidates, and 40 for the reserved category candidates. NEET MDS 2024 Analysis
The NEET MDS 2024 exam difficulty level was easy to moderate. According to candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level was easier than last year. There was an equal distribution of questions from all 17 topics of the NEET MDS syllabus. The number of image-based questions was higher as compared to last year. Moreover, the theoretical questions were tricky in nature, and not direct. Some students, who had appeared for last year's NEET MDS exam, said that some questions from last year were repeated this year, including the answer choices. Topics from which maximum questions were asked include Medicine and Pharma.

NEET MDS 2024 Admit card
NEET MDS 2024 admit card was released online. NBE uploaded the admit card for candidates who applied successfully and fulfilled other eligibility criteria. The NEET MDS 2024 admit card was not sent to individual candidates by post and they had to download it from the official website. The hall ticket could be downloaded through login ID and password. The admit card carried important details such as name, date of birth, exam date, timing, name and address of centre, and exam guidelines. The NEET MDS admit card 2024 had to be carried to the exam centre otherwise candidates were not allowed to appear for the exam.

NEET MDS 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates have to fulfil certain requirements to apply for NEET MDS 2024. Those who don’t fulfil the eligibility criteria set by NBE will not be allowed to appear for the exam and their candidature can be cancelled at any stage of the admission process. NEET MDS 2024 Pattern
NEET MDS 2024 exam pattern was released along with the official information brochure. The exam pattern includes details such as mode of exam, medium, total number of questions, duration of exam etc. As per the existing NEET MDS pattern, the exam was held in computer-based mode in English language only. There will be 240 objective questions carrying four marks each and candidates will be given three hours to answer them. As per the marking scheme, there will be a deduction of 25 per cent marks for each wrong answer. The timing of the exam was 9 AM to 12 noon.
The NEET MDS 2024 exam will be divided into two parts, Part A and Part B. Part A will comprise 100 questions and Part B will have 140 questions. There will be total 10 subjects or sections, which will carry 14 and 15 questions.
NEET MDS 2024 Registration/Application
NEET MDS 2024 application form was released online. Candidates had to register first to submit the application form. Apart from registration, the NEET MDS 2024 application process involved steps such as registration, filling the application form, uploading relevant documents, choosing the exam centre, paying the application fee and taking printouts of the filled form. NBE only accepted online application forms. Candidates were advised to read the eligibility criteria carefully before applying for the exam.
The NEET MDS 2024 application process for the original phase was conducted from January 30, 2024, to February 19, 2024. The application correction window was open from February 22 to February 25, 2024, and the image correction window was open from March 5 to March 7, 2024.
NBE was originally scheduled to conduct the exam on February 9, 2024. NBE extended the internship deadline for applicants from March 31 to June 30, 2024. The NEET MDS 2024 application window was reopened from March 9, 2024, 10 AM to March 11, 2024, 11.55 PM. Only those candidates whose internship will be completed between April 1, 2024, and June 30, 2024, were eligible to apply during this duration. However, there was no correction facility for applications submitted in this window.
