Haryana NEET counselling 2024 dates for Special Stray Round were announced by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Haryana. The Registration and choice filling processes were conducted from December 1 to December 2, 2024, 11.59 PM. The seat allotment result was declared on December 3, 2024. The deposition of the provisional tuition fee had to be done till December 5, 2024, 9 AM. The institute reporting process was conducted on December 5, 2024, 11 AM onwards at Pt BD Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.

The Haryana NEET 2024 counselling process for Round 1 was conducted from August 21 to September 5, 2024. Round 2 was held from September 11, 2024, to October 3, 2024. Round 3 was conducted from October 9 to October 23, 2024. The Stray Round was conducted from October 25 to November 5, 2024. The Special Stray Round 1 was held from November 23 to December 1, 2024.

The total duration of the Haryana NEET 2024 counselling process is likely to range from three to four months. DMER Haryana releases the Haryana NEET 2024 counselling dates for each round separately. After the conduct of all the rounds, in case there are vacancies in a particular course, there will be additional and course-specific exam counselling, the dates for which will be announced separately. 

The Haryana NEET 2024 counselling is being conducted for admission to 85 per cent of State Quota states of MBBS and BDS courses. The counselling process involves steps such as seat matrix release, registration, choice filling, seat allotment result and institute reporting. Haryana NEET counselling dates for each round are approximately seven to 10 days. At times, DMER Haryana extends or modifies the dates or schedule based on certain external factors. 

The NEET 2024 exam was conducted on May 5, 2024, and the NEET 2024 result was declared on June 4, 2024. NTA conducted a retest for 1,563 candidates with race marks, on June 23, 2024, and the result was declared on July 1, 2024. As many as 813 candidates appeared for the exam held in seven exam centres located in six cities and five states respectively. NTA released the re-revised NEET 2024 result on July 26, 2024, as per the Supreme Court of India's verdict on various NEET 2024 petitions. The Haryana NEET counselling process is usually carried forward according to the quota of seats. Haryana has 15 per cent reserved seats for candidates from states other than Haryana and is known as the All India Quota (AIQ). The remaining 85 percent of the seats are reserved for candidates with a Haryana domicile.

Q:   What is the total number of rounds of the Haryana NEET UG counselling?

A:

There are total six rounds of Haryana NEET UG counselling. The list of rounds are given below:

  1. Round 1
  2. Round 2
  3. Round 3
  4. Stray Vacancy Round
  5. Special Stray Vacancy Round 1
  6. Special Stray Vacancy Round 2

DMER Haryana announced the fifth and sixth rounds of counselling based on the number of vacant seats.

Q:   When will the Haryana NEET Counselling 2024 be conducted?

A:

The Haryana NEET UG counselling 2024 Special Stray Round 2 for BDS is being conducted from December 10 to December 16, 2024. The Special Stray Round 1 was held from November 23 to December 1, 2024.

The Stray Round was conducted from October 25 to November 5, 2024. The registration and choice filling processes were conducted from October 25 to October 28, 2024. The seat allotment result was declared on October 30, 2024.

Round 3 was conducted from October 9 to October 23, 2024. The registration and choice filling rounds were conducted from October 9 to October 13. The seat allotment result has been declared on October 15, 2024.

Round 2 counselling started on September 11, 2024 with the registration and choice filling process, which ended on September 21, 2024. The seat allotment result will be declared on September 23, 2024. The second round concluded on October 5, 2024. 

The first round of Haryana NEET 2024 counselling had started on August 21, 2024, with the registration and choice filling process. The Round 1 of Haryana NEET 2024 counselling process ended on September 5, 2024.

Q:   What is the mode of the Haryana NEET UG counselling?

A:

Haryana NEET UG counselling is conducted in partially in online mode and offline mode. Except the last phase of counselling, which is the document verification, the rest of the rounds of the processes are conducted in online mode. DMER Haryana releases the counselling notices or the schedule and the seat matrix in an online mode, on the official website. The registration and choice filling processes also need to be done in online mode by visiting the official website of the exam. The merit list and the seat allotment result are also declared on the official website of the Haryana NEET counselling, in PDF format. The last and final step, which is the institute reporting, or the document verification, has to be done in offline mode, by visiting the allotted institute, or the venue stated by the counselling authority.

Salient Features of the Haryana NEET 2024 Counselling

After the NEET result announcement and the release of the cut-off list Medical and Dental colleges across Haryana will be released by DMER. The state counselling authority will start the Haryana NEET counselling 2024 process after that. The Haryana NEET counselling will be conducted in three to four rounds. 

To participate in the Haryana NEET counselling, candidates have to register themselves first. Registration for Haryana NEET counselling will have to be done online and the forms will be released on the official website of DMER.  

Haryana NEET 2024 counselling will be considered and accepted after the payment of the registration fee. After the successful submission of the Haryana NEET counselling registration form and choice filling, the conducting body will release the seat allotment result. Candidates allotted seats will have to complete the admission process by going for the document verification and payment of the requisite fees by visiting the allotted institutes.

Q:   Is it possible to retain the seat allotted to me in previous round of Haryana NEET counselling even if I have been allotted a better seat?

A:

No, if the candidate gets a better option, the seat allotted to him/her initially will be cancelled and the candidate will have to accept the "upgraded" seat. In any case, such "upgrade" candidate will not be allowed to retain the seat initially allotted. Therefore, the candidate must take great care in choice filling for "upgrade".

Q:   How can I fill choices in the Haryana NEET counselling process?

A:

Only those candidates who have registered for the Haryana NEET counselling process will be able to fill and lock choices. After logging in, they will have to select Course from the dropdown menu. From there, they have to choose "College" and click on update button. After filling all choices, they have to press "Save" button. In the a printout of filled choices must be taken. Candidates can modify/add/delete choices as many times as they want till the closing time as per schedule.

The list of documents required to be submitted, or to be produced during the document verification round of the Haryana NEET counselling are as follows:
  • Passing Certificate of Class 10
  • Passing certificate of Class 12
  • Marksheets of class 12
  • Character certificate issued by the last institute
  • Permanent residence certificate (if applicable)
  • Certificate of bonafide resident (if applicable)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • A certificate concerning benchmark disabilities (if applicable)
  • Certificate of dependence of freedom fighters (if applicable)
  • Certificate of ESM (if applicable)
  • Income certificate (if applicable)
  • Affidavit to certify minority status
  • Copy of the application form of Haryana NEET 2023 counselling
  • Allotment letter
  • Any two valid photo ID proofs (Aadhaar card/PAN card/Driving License/Passport/Voter ID/Ration card)
  • Recent passport-sized photographs (four)

For NRI candidates, the documents are as follows:

Yes, candidates who wish to participate in the Haryana NEET counselling will have to register on the official website of the Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. The step by step process to register for Haryana NEET counselling is given below:

  • Visit the official website of Haryana NEET counselling 

  • Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab

  • Click on the Declaration checkbox and click on Continue

  • Enter NEET Roll Number and NEET Application Number

  • Click on Check NEET Details

  • Fill up the mandatory details, upload documents and submit

  • Pay the application fee

To participate in the counselling of Haryana NEET 2023, candidates have to pay a non-refundable registration fee of INR 2,500 for the Unreserved/General category and Rs 1,250 for the Reserved/PH category. The fee has to be paid in online mode.

Q:   What is the date of Haryana NEET counselling 2024 seat allotment result?

The Haryana NEET counselling 2024 seat allotment result for Round 1 was declared on August 27, 2024. The seat allotment result will be out for each round approximately five to six days after the beginning of the counselling process. At first, the provisional seat allotment result will be declared, and candidates will be given the chance to raise grievances against the allotment. After one or two days, the final result will be declared. The round-wise Haryana NEET counselling 2024 seat allotment result will be mentioned as and when they are declared by the officials.

Q:   How many government seats will be allotted through Haryana NEET counselling 2024?

A:

According the last year's seat matrix, there were as many as 1,870 seats for MBBS and around 100 seats for BDS that were offered to the candidates through Haryana NEET counselling for the Government colleges.  As per the seat matrix released by DMER Haryana for the Haryana NEET counselling 2023, there were a total of 345 seats including government and private institutes. DMER Haryana releases seat matrix or seat vacancy list separately for each round prior to the commencement of the registration process. Hence, the actual number of government seats for the Haryana NEET counselling 2024 will be known only after the release of the seat matrix.
